Story
Welcome back to the Furball Puppy Campaign, dear Furball Friends!
The Furball Puppies:
A pack that is round, fluffy and full of personality.
And because my heart is beating for Enamel Pins too, every dog got his own Enamel Pin version!
I've put a lot of heart and soul into every puppy – and I'm already looking forward to seeing this wonderful pack grow together with you!
About me:
I'm Akitaya - Artist, Plushie collector & creator, huuuge anime- and dog fan from Germany ... and of course, the person behind the Furball Puppies.
This project is very close to my heart. In the last years the dream of creating Plushies has grown up in my heart, but it's an other thing to really go this first step. At the beginning of 2025 I've found Backerkit and fell in love with some of the beautiful Plushies here. It was a long way to learn about how to build up such a campaign & how such a Plushie creating process works (and, well ... not to underestimate the time it needs to create Prototype 1.0 and 2.0).
However, as it was clear that the campaign would not be financed in time, I took some time to think about how to proceed with the Furball Puppies and when to restart and to rebuild the Campaign.
The Order of Puppy Breeds stays the same from the fist Furball Puppy Campaign and the Pledge Levels too. So you'll find what you know from before - just with some improvements.
For 6 or more plushies: only one dog per breed (excluding Add-Ons)
Puppy Sets: 1x, 2x, 3x (Mini Pack), 4x (Medium Pack), 6x (Half Pack), 8x (Big Pack), 12x (Every Breed / One per Breed), 25x (All Breeds, all Colors)
All unlocked puppies are also available as a set with matching enamel pins and stickers.

Prototype Photo Gallery - A Plushie's Evolution & some thoughts...
Hello again, Furball Friend!
In this Part of the Story section I'll just share some experiences & thoughts from my first try of prototyping a Furball Puppy. It is not necessary to read this Part, so you can skip it if you want. If you are interrested in the Process of creating Plushies, come and take a look.
But I want to share some thoughts & the evolution of this Project and especially my future Plushie Projects - so this Part is more personally than the rest.
1st Prototype Update 08/25:
In 2025 I made the first try starting the Furball Puppy Plushie Campaign - but because I ordered the Prototype too close to the beginning of the campaign, it needed time and more time, and after two weeks they send me... "someting" looking like a self sewn Dog Plush, but not like FurBALL Puppy.
Of course I was aware that the first try usually don't look perfect, but to be honest I was a a bit disappointed about this. Mainly because I knew that It would need at least two more weeks to wait for ... what ever.
"Yeah, I recieved the the very ... very ... very first pictures! x'D"
"Yeees... our little Goldie looks kind of ... amusing. But don't worry, this is only the very first step."
The manu told me, first round of corrections on "Goldie 1.0" are specially for the body shape. ;D
"After Shape is adjusted and closer to the imagined plush, material- and color adjustments will follow. He will have a body of Medium Fur and Tail and Ears will be Long Fur - to be super fluffy!", at least I thought like that. _____________________________________________________
2nd Prototype Update:
Around two weeks after the 1st Sample I recieved the 2nd one. And it "started" to look like a Furball Puppy!
Still a little annoyed about the yelloe Background that made it difficult to see the exact color I made the corrections, with a break in between.

I don't now what exactly was the reason I never recieved an answer, but in November 2025 I gave up to get one. _____________________________________________________
New Furball Puppies in 2026:
New Manu, new Luck! I used a different Manu the very first time, in 2025. I thought it would be a good Idea to go with one of the bigger ones, but the first lil' something of a Prototype (yes, I know they can look strange the first time) wasn't even close. The second was better, but it never came to a third. I think I know what went wrong, but they didn't answer anymore & the money was away too. No, I don't think it was any bad attention, but for this Project I'll go another way.
And to be honest: I'm kind of happy, it didn't work the first time. I'm not saying this out of doubt, but I know that I've learned a lot from my current Pin projects, and I'm also in a much better place mentally than I was back then. It just wasn't the right time.
1 Year later I carefully build up a few clear criteria for a new Manufacturer, also because I was looking out for one somewhere else than before.
I don't want to list everything here, and it sounds so obviously, but: - Chatting with a real Person about the Project requirements, and NOT with a Bot or someone that may be a Bot. - Seriousity and photos of real prototypes & from the Company. - Cheaper Price but good Quality (Compared with the frist Proto-Puppy from '25 I got 2 for 1 here ;) - Possibility to see what materials & colors are available & to choose from them. -> They even easily agreed to ship both prototypes together, which saved some shipping costs.
And I couldn't be happier with that desicion!
Golden Retriever V1:
Golden Retriever: Back
Golden Retriever: Side
Golden Retriever: Front
Here you can see the Fur structure better and the Size related to a Hand.
OLD Version Side View
New Version Side View. The Fur structure is also visible here. Short but cuddly.
Like I said in the previous Update, I wanted the Goldie's Body a little "shorter", what worked great. About ~1cm shorter it matches the Bodyshape of the Shepherd and the desired FurBALL Puppy Shape.
New Sample: In reallity the Furcolor should be more saturated.
OLD Version Back View
New Version Back View - perfect Furball Shape xD
The Shape is absolutely FURBALLtastic!
German Shepherd V2:
When it's about the Shape of Snout & Ears V1 was better, These are the only changes here. (And making the Cheeks oval.)
New_Back View with the little correction.
OLD_Back View
Front VIEW:
The eyes came out supercute. But the Plushie needs some fixes. Mostly to make the Snout rounder, the cheeks oval and maybe the nose black?
Golden Retriever V3: Ear moved to front (arround 1cm)
(The Sheperd was still in a correction here, so I just recieved the Goldie Pictures that Day.) _____________________________________________________
German Shepherd V3:
So cuuute! Just the Nose should have more contrast.
Back View
... and Side View, now with the imagined Snout Shape & Ears like I wanted them for V3.
Golden Retriever V4:
The big eyes still feel a bit unfamiliar to me - V2 had smaller ones. But isn't it incredibly cute? Since V3, this has been its new face. Just the ears weren’t quite right. Now they are.
Back View.
Ears in right Position now! On V3, they were positioned too far back. This is V4, btw.
What I want to change before they go into bulk production are the thread colors for Eyes & Nose of the Shepherd. (I had should tell them before I say "Yeah, please ship them to me!") -> I want the same black-brown for it as the Goldie has now. (The nose still lacks a bit of contrast against the brown fabric. Here I had the possibility to choose the color code, but it is still too light.)
But the Manu said, it is possible to make very last changes after I recieved them and before they go into Production.
For Shepherd V2, I wasn't sure about the contrast, because the lighting was ... ... ... well, all plushie creators know that problem. But at least the Cheeks have the perfect tone now, also the Goldie!
Thanks for beeing interessted in the Photo Gallery.
This timeline is an raw estimate. Unexpected delays may occur that are largely beyond my control. I appreciate your understanding.
Also: The more Plushies we unlock, the longer the overall production process is likely to take.
I will keep you updated on the latest developments, such as Samples from the manufacturer.
Timelines of Pin & Stickers ONLY Orders, such as Plushies ONLY Orders will probably be different and shipped as soon as I've got the Products in Hands.
