Project Update: the future of the series 2 batpacks 🦇
hi, everyone! i hope you're having an amazing week!
as i'm sure you all have noticed, the previously estimated july launch date for the batpacks series 2 project has come to pass, with no new batpacks in sight -- i wanted to hop on here and share an update about the future of the project/the reason for the continued launch delay!
first off, the same issues that caused some delays in my recent 2026 pintopia project were at play here; you can read more about here if you'd like! TL;DR, my IRL + business obligations overwhelmed me due to taking on too much at once, but i've been able to get things more or less back in order now.
secondly, i've had some continuing concerns regarding the pricing of the new batpacks & the current economic state of the world atm. at a few of the markets i've been to where i've had the batpacks with me, i've overheard some negative comments about the price, while at some other events, i've completely sold out! it's been hard to anticipate what people will think of them until i get there.
everyone's strapped for cash rn, and i know that the batpacks are an expensive luxury item that not everyone can afford. and that's completely understandable!! do not go broke getting a batpack!!! but it does make me wonder if now is just not the right time to go forward with the project.
lastly, tariffs continue to loom at the forefront of my mind. the most recent increase in tariffs on items arriving into the US from canada thankfully doesn't affect the batpacks, but the situation changes so often that it feels impossible to plan ahead, or to anticipate what might happen next, if duty rates could go up, or go down, or stay the same. that degree of uncertainty, combined with the pretty hefty potential for financial consequences if things take a turn for the worst, has also been giving me pause.
i don't know! it all just feels a little up in the air rn. for now, the batpacks series 2 project is currently on the backburner until at least next year, so that i can focus on my upcoming feline pierrot project in november + next year's pintopia. (+ the five billion other things i always have going on, lol)
despite this, though, i do still have the new samples in production, and i'll still be developing & working on improving the designs behind the scenes, & figuring out what further bag designs i might want to pursue at the same time. I want to ensure that the next batpack project has a rock solid foundation, and i don't want it to feel like i'm pushing the project ahead just for the sake of earning a quick dollar upfront. i don't want to overproduce, nor do i want to put out a product i'm not happy with, or that people don't genuinely want.
that's all from me for now! i'm actually nearly ready to share some first looks of the series 2 batpack samples, so look forward to seeing that update pretty soon -- even if the project's launch date is currently on hold, don't worry, i'll still be sure to share all the behind the scenes progress with you guys 🦇🖤

Project Update: batpacks series 2 DELAYED until (earliest) july 2026
hey friends! i've been massively swamped with work IRL lately and haven't had time to really be online at all, but i wanted to give a quick update about the batpack series 2 project that was supposed to launch at the beginning of may.
when i first set the project up earlier in the year, i was pretty optimistic that the new samples would be done & that we'd have everything secured and set up for the project by the end of april. unfortunately, both march & all of april so far ended up being crazy busy for me (started a second job, tattooing picking up, tax season + learning how to do taxes for a whole new country now that ive moved, etc), and i just didnt have nearly enough time to dedicate to the project to get it up and running by may 1st.
so, currently, ive pushed back the estimated launch date to july 1st of this year. this also means that, unfortunately, the project will no longer be part of the bag bazaar group collab as originally planned. 💔
however, some good news! this does mean that you guys have more time to save up if you want to support the project, & i'll be able to have the project set up to run for longer than the two week period bad bazaar is going to be running for. so keep an eye out for more batpack series 2 news as we head into the summer!
please keep in mind that this new estimated launch date is just that: an estimate. if things continue to be crazy for me IRL, it's not out of the question that the project could be delayed for even longer. what's most important to me is delivering to you guys a project that meets my personal standards & gives you guys the best version of my products, and i dont want to compromise that by trying to adhere to a specific launch date (until i decide to set one in stone, of course). so for now, i'll be aiming for early july, but be advised that this could certainly change.

Project Update: more batpacks added to the flying friends preorder store!
hi all!
first off, i wanted to thank all of you who have stopped by the flying friends preorder store and picked up a batpack (or any of the other available items!) so far; if you picked up a batpack, or any other item that wasn't listed as a preorder, you should have gotten your items already, so please do share photos with me of your new batty goods if you havent already!
I wanted to share that i recently got a new shipment of batpacks in, so ive added more vampire bats as well as the addition of brown bat and dreamy bat as options to the preorder store! so, if you were hoping to get one of those designs, nows the time to snag them!
of course, as another reminder, if youre in the US and want to get a batpack without paying for tariffs, all 3 of these aforementioned designs (vampire, brown bat, and dreamy bat) will likely be available during the series 2 project this summer, which will ship from the states!

- has a ton of ready to ship items, but if you order any items labeled "PREORDER", you wont get your order for a few months

Project Update: flying friends pre-order store opens in just a few days!
hey everyone! i wanted to give you guys a little update about the extra batpacks + the flying friends pre-order store.
i've just submitted for setup review for that project's survey, which means we're just a few days away from the pre-order store opening. so, if any of you are wanting to grab a batpack via the flying friends store, here's what you need to know!

- i currently only have four batpack designs available -- vampire bat, cupid bat, honduran white bat, and flying fox. there's still multiple boxes waiting to be shipped to me from my fulfillment company, but i can't afford the import fees currently so we're holding off for a bit on sending the rest.
- i have very limited stock of the ones i have available. so, please keep an eye out for exactly when the preorder store opens if you want the chance to snag one! i'm waiting to open the pre-order store at the same time as flying friends project surveys are sent out, in order to allow everyone a fair chance to snag one of the batpacks if they're interested.
- if you want a different design, feel free to hold off for now! i'm hoping to put up some more unit quantity + more of the designs early next month.
- tariff fees are currently down about 5% than they were initially. it's still a lot (28.3% vs 33.3%) but that's also something to keep in mind. this could change at any time, however.
- remember, you can also wait until the series 2 project in may if you want to avoid tariff fees + don't mind waiting for a while for a restock of a popular design!
