it's been quite a while! i'll try to keep it brief:
earlier in the year, i started to really struggle with juggling all of my artistic & IRL obligations. i was working multiple jobs (one of which i was finally able to quit in june), handling online shop stuff alongside progressing in my tattooing apprenticeship, PLUS trying to prep for markets, conventions, retail opportunities, etc...
all of that on top of other IRL obligations, PLUS losing access to my medications due to some healthcare coverage hiccups, made me... more or less shut down mentally in regards to handling things for my business. which caused quite the delay in getting pin samples approved & manufacturing paid for.
which brings us to july: the month where i'd originally hoped to already have the pins completely finished & in hand, ready to ship by august.
in mid-july, i was able to attend & vend at fur-eh in edmonton, and that alongside some of my other obligations easing up + support from my family helped tremendously with getting my everything back on track. i initially wanted to share an update last month with all this information, but i also didn't want to just dump all of this on ya'll without having anything else to show for it...
so, good news! as of now, all of the outstanding merch items for the campaign, including all the pins + the new series 2 batty blind bag charms are ALL paid for and are currently in production! 🎉🎉
i'm hoping that ill have the pins in hand before the end of the month, so that everyone's orders can begin shipping ASAP.

take a look at marine bat! we were juggling back and forth about whether to add glitter to the middle pocket, but decided to go without in the end. the bubbles had to be moved so that they touched the sides of the inner window as well.
we had some issues with the backstamp, as well; due to the way that the rainbow pins are made, the original standard backstamp looked very rough/messy.

my manufacturer recommended that we try using laser printing for the backstamp instead, and showed me an example on a spare pin they had!

i think this looks WAY better! this is what we'll be going with for the marine bat pin. (the other pins will have standard backstamps as usual)

my manu mistakenly added glitter to the wings for whatever reason; this will be removed in the final pin! there's also a small spot on the hat where the wrong yellow was used, which will also be fixed.
that's all I have for now!! anyone who orders items from the preorder store that are currently in stock will continue to have their orders shipped out as usual. fingers crossed we get these pins in hand sooner rather than later -- im excited to share the new batty blind bags with ya'll, too! 🦇
