Updates

Hi all,

First off, an apology- I accidentally saved the draft of the May Update and never published it. I blame the fact that I was on the west coast with my co-writer Jordaan. 

Progress on the book is slowly being made. Jordaan and I are working on script edits (we're currently arguing about Riverdale, because that is the process) and our letterer is lined up. A little sneak peek is below.

We have a fun announcement- we have officially tapped Nikki Sherman to do the lettering for the book! Nikki's work is incredible and we can't wait to see what she does. 


Nikki will be jumping in as soon as the artwork is complete, which should be sometime in the next couple of months. Here's a little sneak peek of a recent panel we love...

Happy March, Backers!

It's going to be a short one this month. We're all chugging away at work- Melissa's just sent in some new inks that are looking wonderful (and showcasing a truly heartbreaking character backstory!). Jordaan is gearing up for a dialogue pass on the script, and I... well, in all honesty, I've been a bit absent because this week marked a new addition to my family.

He's 5 pounds, has the most beautiful grey eyes, and has taken a liking to all of my slippers. 

We should still be on schedule, but we'll let you know if anything changes. Until next month, all the best to you and yours! And because it is illegal to mention you got a puppy without sharing a picture...

Welcome to our monthly update on this, the eve of Valentine's Day, the day of love. Still chugging along working on the book, but until then, I wanted to share two little panels I love from the comic. 

Hello, wonderful backers and followers!

We hope you all had a restful holiday season! We're back for 2026 with our first bit of news... THE PENCILS ARE COMPLETE! What this means for you, in a nutshell, is we are on time, on schedule, and still chugging towards a print date of July of this year. 

I thought it might be fun for this month's update to take you through the art process a bit, from thumbnail to finished art. Who better to do that with than January's spotlighted character?
