Joseph here. I wanted to let you know some important news.
After looking at where we are at and how far along we are in art production, we have decided to move our launch date to September 22nd.
Here's the reason:
We've got one experimental goal with this campaign, and it's a bold one, but we think we can do it.
There's a good chance we can send this entire project off to print as soon as the campaign closes.
Now that's dependant, obviously. I just want to let you know that that is what we're working towards. We're a small team (there's literally just a handful of us) but we've been around for a while, and we've always dreamed of being able to go: campaign finished, off to print, woo! That's what we want to do from here on out. It's ambitious, but not out of our reach.
Those of you who know what we do, we've gone slow in the past. Call us old fashioned, but we're 100% anti-AI and do all our stuff by hand. Concepts, illustration, typesetting (I do that bit!) and print preparation. It's all a lengthy process that we're getting increasingly fast at. But that affects where in the production line we launch campaigns. Otherwise it's not fair on backers, and its not fair on us to be hustling like crazy all the time. The end result is always sweeter if we're not all running on caffeine, instant noodles and hopium.
At the end of the day, this gives this project more time in the oven, and more time for us to absolutely sure up our supply networks to ensure it gets to backers as soon as possible and at better shipping rates.
So, thank you for your patience. This was the right thing to do for this project, absolutely.
Anyway, here's a sneak peak at the Quickstart Guide. These are all works in progress of course (our editor will kill me if she knows I've shown pre-edited stuff), but I like showing off the process.
So here you are...
And that concludes our quick sneak peek.
So from myself (Joseph), author Brandon Berryhill, illustrator Brandon Ellis, editor Amelia Roth, game designer Alex Norman and the rest of the Authocracy team, thank you again for your support.
