Just popping out from our pocket-realm in Netherspace for a little update! We’ve been hard at work and are very excited to unleash the cyberfiends very soon!
Here’s where we’re at right now:
Main product:
Adventure is written and laid out: 76 pages of demonic cyber-fantasy. We’ve had many an evil cackle creating it, I’m sure you will running it!
We’re still putting the finishing touches on the artwork, including some nice new maps. When they are ready, the PDFs will be sent to you—and the printers. Check below for a little teaser!
We’ll be coordinating with Exalted Funeral for the distribution and shipping, with deliveries of physical copies still expected for Q1 2027.
Stretch goals:
Set of 8 pre-gens in development, should be finished after the main adventure goes to print and released immediately when ready.
We’ve had interest from some great musical talent for the soundtrack, along with some exciting samples. Putting together the soundtrack will start after we’ve gone to print (and summer touring is over for some contributors), with an expected ETA that coincides with print fulfillment in Q1 2027.
Thanks again for joining us in this fantastic event. We can’t wait to get this to your gaming tables!
This is it. No more stretch goals. No more promotion. The adventure is funded, extras are unlocked, and a very grateful Bloodstar Productions team is hard at work on the finishing touches.
Passing the $6,000 mark unlocks our final stretch goal, a dark techno-industrial ambient soundtrack for the adventure that pays homage to our 90s inspirations. While the exact length will vary depending on the final funding amount, we've already had some demos come our way, and it's really exciting to be able to offer this - thanks for making it happen!
As we race to the finish line of OSE Month, why not make sure you:
1.Back the physical tier - Ray's fantastic, distressed front cover art, like a cursed 90s video game manual found in a dusty old attic, deserves to be held and seen in real life. Plus, the A5 booklet is much more portable than a laptop, and easier on the eyes than a phone screen!
2. Vote for the pre-gens - Chaos Knight and Demon Hunter are in the lead, but there's still time to make sure your favourites get in. Vote!
3. Complete your OSE Month collection - Everything attached to this project is so cool, it's hard to pick. Want some wooden minis or a Vedic-myth city crawl? A two-player gamebook duel? Grab as much as you can now to benefit from the group shipping deal!
Just a reminder that we will be live-streaming an actual play of HELLBLASTER: Against the Cyberfiends today at 8 PM CEST / 11 AM PT! A party of veteran players will be doing their best to explore as much of the adventure as possible within the time frame. Tune in to get a taste of the action that awaits in the book!
Thanks again for being part of this journey! For a little sneak peek of what's to come in HELLBLASTER: Against the Cyberfiends, you can watch Nick live-playtest the adventure with some veteran old-school RPG players in our upcoming live stream on Monday!
These players have defeated the Temple of Elemental Evil, slain the mighty frost giant jarl in his glacial rift, and descended into the depths of the earth to battle the Spider Queen of the Drow. How will they fare in this hellish science fantasy scenario? How much of the demon-plagued wreck will they manage to uncover in 2 hours? Tune into the stream and find out!
If you watched our previous art stream, you'll have seen a few cyberfiends being created using the random tables from the book. Some of the finished demons are real (horrific) beauties, and we'll try to incorporate them into the adventure or as accessories to be used when you need a baddie on the fly. Here's a cyborg hezrou demon by Denny, with hp and cybermods listed, ready to be randomly encountered in the wreck of the Morningstar (yes, mutiple armour mods stack, making this one a melee beast).
Just a quick update to let you know that the Necrotic Gnome Fan Community Discord is hosting two AMA sessions with OSE Month creators today and tomorrow!
Here's your chance to ask Gavin Norman and the amazing OSE Month creatives anything you like about the Demonic Grimoire and all the collaborator projects!
The AMA times are as follows:
Part 1: Wednesday, May 20, 7:30-9:30 PM ET Part 2: Thursday, May 21, 9:00-11:00 AM ET
Nick from Bloodstar Productions (AKA yours truly) will be joining the Thursday session. That's 3 PM CEST for everyone in Euro-land with me. See you there!
