We're exactly two weeks to launch, and so we wanted to give you all the details of what to expect from this campaign, as far as pricing, merch options, and whatnot! Buckle up, this will be a long one!
The Pledging Process
We're aiming to make things are customizable as possible this time around. So, instead of having a "one-click box" with a specific book edition attached, we are letting you pick your book format option and then add the one-click merch box in the add-ons (with a 15% discount!). The merch will also be available a la carte.
For those new to crowdfunding... Welcome! You will have the opportunity to pledge (think of it as a pre-order) from April 9th to May 2nd.
When you check out, you will get a separate email with a download (via Bookfunnel) of Elizabeth Stephen's A Monstrous Need EARLY!
Timeline
The campaign goes live on April 9th at 10am Pacific.
Folks with reservations get an exclusive sticker and early access on April 8th at 10am Pacific.
Returning Signed Lettered/Numbered tier folks will be emailed on April 7th at 10am Pacific to reclaim their spots. If they do not do so within 24 hrs (the start of early access), their slot will not be held.
Everyone will be charged for their pledge on May 2nd at approximately 5pm Pacific, when the campaign ends.
Shipping will be charged separately, in Q1 of 2027.

For the Tiers (all tiers include the ebooks):

Paperbacks (3 volumes, 2 books eachl in the flippy-floppy format): $135
Hardcovers (6 volumes): $270
Signed Hardcovers (500 limit): $300
Signed Lettered/Numbered Hardcovers (526 limit): $300

There will also be the option of adding addition sets of the physical books.
What's a book nook, you ask? It's a nifty way to display your vellum (from this campaign and also past and future campaigns!).

Pay Over Time
There will be an option to do Pay Over Time for any order over $150, which is 4 equal monthly payments (starting May 2nd), rather than a single bulk payment.
Per Backerkit's policy, no refunds on partial payments will be issued.
Shipping
In an effort to give the most accurate shipping price possible, we are charging shipping separately from the campaign. This charge will come through in Q1 of 2027, and we will give you plenty of notice to remind you that it's coming, including an updated and final shipping cost. In the meantime, we've put together rough estimates of shipping costs based on current prices.
VAT and customs fees will be the responsibility of the individual backers.
