All work on content for the new issues is complete, and we've sent everything to the printer! Now the proofing process begins. You can read a free Patreon post about that process here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ness-traditional-94261624
With the schedule the printer has provided, we feel confident saying that, as long as the shipping gods don't throw us an unpleasant surprise, we'll begin fulfilling pledges some time in November, smack in the middle of our "Q4 2025" goal.
Thus we'll likely send surveys out in early October.
Because Sometime Lofty Towers will also ship in November, for those of you who backed both campaigns we're currently figuring out the logistical side of combining both orders in one package so we can save you money on shipping!
In September we'll run our final crowdfund for the year,New Edge Sword & Sorcery Novellas, a set of four novellas all written by authors published in the pages of NESS!
Until it launches on Sept 9th we'll be revealing a new book cover each week, starting with this one:
Ah, let's just step back and enjoy all those completed progress bars, the two mighty walls of green!
Authors? All done!
Artists too!
We actually got everything off to the printer last Friday, on August 8th, but have been so busy it's taken until now to write this update! It's a ton of work expanding the magazine into a full blown book publishing company, but it's very rewarding.
Between unlocked bonus stories & poems and lengthier-than-normal tales, you'll be getting even more S&S wordcount than normal inside your issues of NESS - and we guarantee it is all 100% human made!
The copyright info page for issue 6.
We've decided to put a clear symbol of that guarantee in our copyright info pages moving forward. The HUMAN MADE logotype is intended for all to use and is available for free, or PWYW, here: https://hinokodo.itch.io/human-made
New Edge Sword & Sorcery Novellas is something we took our first big leap toward with Double-Edged Sword & Sorcery last Fall, but now we're building on that with four episodic, character-driven S&S tales in a format that feels ideal for the genre; and it all spins out from our flagship production, this very magazine which you make possible for us to produce. Thank you!
Alright, that's everything for now. We'll next update when we have some fun pics from the proofing process to share.
