Project Update: The Spirit of Eli Award at Brooklyn SeltzerFest

This weekend at the sold-out Brooklyn SeltzerFest, Ken Rush took the stage to accept the Spirit of Eli Award, an award initiated in 2025 to honor Eli Miller. Eli's brother handed Ken the award, a siphon bottle glass-etched with a portrait of Eli. Barry Joseph, Executive Director of the Brooklyn Seltzer Museum, interview Ken, who then read The Seltzer Man to the audience.

When he was not on stage, Ken ran a booth singing autographs, prints, and creating fresh siphon art. Below, in fact, is a video of him teaching anyone how to draw a siphon.

You can watch it here:

We had a glitch on Sunday and could not spread the word as widely as we wished about this campaign. But already know about it! Please check it out, help spread the word, and keep the story of seltzer from going flat.

Project Update: Coming soon

At long last, we are planning to open this campaign in just a few days.

Our hope is to have this up and running so we can promote it on March 15 at Brooklyn SeltzerFest. Not only will hundreds of people be there who care about seltzer -- who want to sample seltzers, meet seltzer men, hear carbonated comedy, and more -- but we will present The 2026 Spirit of Eli Award to Ken Rush, to honor him for capturing Eli Miller's story within the beautiful pages of his book The Seltzer Man.

If you would like to see Ken receive the award and discuss the book from the stage, or just meet him at his booth, please buy tickets here
