Project FAQ
Here's what you need to know! ✹ Pledge for rewards you'd like to receive and help bring this project to life! ✹ Anything beyond the initial goal will help unlock additional pins ✹ If the goal is met by the end of the campaign, backers will receive a survey to select which pin(s) they would like~ ✹ You may cancel / edit your pledge any time before the end of the campaign ✹ Once funded, the money will go toward production, fulfillment, and taxes. I cannot accept any refund requests or cancellations after the end of the campaign. Thank you for understanding!
In this case pledging is kind of like a pre-order, but you only get charged/get your item if the project funding goal is met 😤 ✹ Look for the reward tier that has the number of pins you want. ✹ If there is not a reward tier that has what you’re looking for, select the closest one and add any additional items as add-ons :o) Pls reach out if you have any questions or need me to add any additional add-ons! ✹ Once the campaign is over, you’ll receive a survey where you can tell me which specific items you’d like to receive 🙂↕️ 〰️ 🚨Please know that if the campaign doesn't reach the minimum goal, you will not be charged and will not receive any rewards or add-ons 🚨〰️
I have been doing regular commission and freelance work since 2018 and running and maintaining an Etsy shop since late 2020. This experience has made me very comfortable with shipping, production, and deadlines. Nevertheless, this work has also taught me to prepare for the unexpected! Some minor hiccups that we might run into could include: ✹ Manufacturing and shipping delays ✹ Manufacturing errors: This could include incorrect colors, production delays, or unexpected amounts of defective pins. Aside from delays, you should all be aware that pins are handmade products and may not look exactly how they appear on the screen. Colors differ from screen to screen, enamel paint colors are hand-mixed, and designs might have to endure minor alterations for production. None of these factors should drastically alter the appearance of the actual pins from the original designs that you see. I will work closely with the factory to ensure the pins look great and plan to keep backers updated on any changes that might need to be made. Because you are backing a project that has yet to be produced, you will be going along with me on the journey to get these things made; and I will keep you updated every step of the way!
✹ Quality products These products are high-quality and durable. I have worked with the manufacturers that I will be partnering with for this project many times and have always been impressed by the exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and longevity of their work c: ✹ Re-used, or recyclable packing materials Inevitably, there is waste associated with any project. I try my best to minimize waste by eliminating unnecessary packaging when mailing products to you, and reusing supplies wherever I can. Ideally, all rewards will be shipped with materials from my ~extensive~ collection of used shipping materials; though it is likely that I will have ship many orders with new packing supplies. The shipping materials that I purchase are from EcoEnclose, a company in Colorado that manufactures its products in North America. EcoEnclose is aligned with eco-friendly education and shipping solutions, making it a company I am delighted to support. BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
