Inspired by Anne Lamott’s advice in her timeless writing manual Bird by Bird, Line by Line guides players to collaboratively craft writing templates, then use those templates to write lines of poetry and share them aloud.
Gameplay takes place over two phases. In phase one (brewing), players first create templates for lines of poetry using decks of words, images, and poetic devices, and then they craft lines. In phase two (open mic), players share their lines and poetry with each other aloud.
Line by Line challenges players to practice, enjoy, and develop their writing, thinking, and creative skills by writing poetry. No prior experience needed!
