The Vessel, an original horror/comedy film from Cinema Therapy Studios, is where the terror comes from ratcheting tensions and dread, more than the jump scares.
Six former college friends gather at a remote manor for spooky stories, reconnecting and reminiscing. The fake scares put together by their host Ghost Bob quickly become terrifyingly real. Now trapped inside Old Fugelsang Manor, an unknown force unearths their past regrets and current tensions, threatening to tear this group apart, and worse. The only way out… a bit of group bonding to overcome their fears, their differences, and their pasts to solve this mystery together.

The Vessel is a horror movie about friendship.
A group of college friends reunites for their annual weekend of fun, drinks, and reminiscing when they're disturbed by... something. Also, the guy who organized the whole thing starts speaking in tongues. Can they figure out what's happening?
There are big laughs, there are tears, there are screams, and there are some genuinely creepy moments. But because this is Cinema Therapy Studios, it's also about people. At its heart, the story asks: How do our blind spots keep us from truly seeing each other, and how can we learn to come together in the face of unspeakable horror?
Right now we're deep into pre-production. The table reads have been a blast, the script keeps getting stronger, concept art is coming together, we're crafting bespoke props, and casting is well underway. It's exciting to watch this thing become more real every week.

🎥 Why Crowdfund a Movie?
We want to make the best movie we possibly can.
The more resources we have, the more time we can spend making every part of the film better. That means creating practical horror effects inspired by the classics, blending them with modern visual effects, recording the score with a live orchestra, and making sure we have the marketing support to bring The Vessel to theaters.
Our hope is to self-distribute the film so more people can experience it the way we intend: on the big screen.
