In this game, you play a yokai, hand out refreshments and ask questions of your fellow players to determine who or what they are, then ask them to leave, but try to be polite...until you don't have to be.
Welcome to the Yokai Tea Party! This is the first tabletop game created by CobaltMonkeyKing Studios, LLC! Inspired by Japanese Mythology, and a love of friends, food and fun. In this game you will take on the role of 1 of 12 possible Yokai: The mischievous Bakeneko, the mochi-making Gyokuto, the grasping Jorōgumo, the lackadaisical Kijimuna, the tricky Kitsune, the quiet Kodama, the motherly Nure-Onna, the fiery Nekomata, the brutish Oni, the greedy Rokurokubi, the tight-fisted Tanuki or the icily-elegant Yuki-Onna.
Your goal will be to determine who is who, by handing out refreshments to fellow party-goers and, if the refreshment is accepted, ask a question of the recipient.
Unlike many other Hidden-Role Games, when your Yokai is revealed, not only do you continue to play, this is when the fun really begins!

What is going on?
Hello Folks!
Eric here! I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on.
As you may have noticed, that we are not live when we said that we would be.
There are two reasons for this that lead into each other. The first is that I have been busy demoing the Yokai Tea Party at various locations near me and not focusing on Social Media, like I should. This leads into reason the second, as we have less than 300 followers (30% of our total goal), BackerKit is holding back the campaign.
Does this mean that the game and campaign are done? No! The plan is to do everything that I can on my side to get us up to 300 followers. I am going to push as hard as I can and if I cannot get 300 followers by October 15, we will put the campaign on hold and move it to Kickstarter in February or March of 2027.
