It has been a long grueling process but there is finally an end in sight! Please make sure your addresses are up to date by SUNDAY!
If you need me to change it after it has locked you will need to email me immediately at [email protected] with subject line “URGENT: ADDRESS CHANGE!”
We just got back LAST NIGHT! From a marathon of three back to back shows the final one taking us nearly two weeks since we drove from Ohio to Texas! I was asked to be a guest and given a free table to a small but very fun 80s pony collector meet that also has other toy brands. I did a panel all about how to turn your passions into a profession focusing on becoming a plush designer.
It was also Randall and my 6th wedding anniversary and 19th year together, so I went off grid for our anniversary for a much needed break from work!
We went to the San Antonio “Love Lock Bridge” to place a lock on the bridge with our anniversary date.
It was a bit disappointing to see some people email me multiple times about when their order was shipping after I’ve set multiple clear boundaries about this and have been updating everyone frequently on what is going on and where we are at. I needed a small break and all hell broke loose! Even had someone do a chargeback on an online order when we weren’t even here. I REALLY need people to be more patient and realize we are human and this is the first SMALL break i’ve taken from work in probably two years.
Anyways, we are now charging all shipping for all orders aside from Wildest Dreams! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CARDS ARE UP TO DATE AND CAN BE CHARGED FOR SHIPPING IF YOU WANT YOUR ORDER!! (At least I segmented according to backerkit tutorials and did my best!) If you got charged for an order with wildest dreams for shipping please bear in mind you may still owe a small amount of shipping when he is complete because we didn’t put his weight into the system due to not having him in hand yet.
We plan to put wildest dreams into production right after our upcoming winter market sale on backerkit depending on how much we can raise. We used the extra from nessies to finish Vivid, Sweet and Dream of Sleep leaving only him to raise enough money to put into production. We are finally getting close to caught up on everything!
Without our friends and fans support we couldn’t have made it this far so thank you all so much!
If you haven’t already make sure you are following our upcoming Holiday Market sale which is only for things we have in hand that can ship immediately! You will NOT have to wait for produciton on any of it! Click HERE to join the prelauch or the image below!
We just shipped out over 70 Orders! We currently only got one box of Luck Ness, Dreamy Ness, and Dark Ness so we are segmenting orders based on what has arrived and what is ready to ship. Only THOSE orders which we have in stock will be charged shipping right now. We are waiting on the rest of the nessies to go through customs and get here. It has been a very annoying ordeal and one we hope is finished soon.
If you missed out on grabbing one of these amazing little guys there will be one more chance in very limited supply to grab one of our “stressies” or dream keep dragons ready to ship on our new holiday market event! Make sure you are following it now! You can just scan the QR code or hold it down and open link in your browser to get to it!
I will tell you now Sweet Dreams sold out at Dragon Con so she will not be available nor will Daydream companion but all the others will be! Including Vivid!
As I said in the last update we are receiving a few mixed boxes of the nessies ahead of the bulk shipment, due to the customs issue. They are arriving today!
So many orders will be able to ship out this coming week!
There are still a few of you who have not yet even filled out your survey.
If this is not done by end of the week you will forfeit your order! We will NOT be hunting individual people down this time to make sure you have finished your surveys and fill in your shipping information and pay your shipping.
We have only two of us and so much to handle that it is up you to you to be responsible!
We are still dealing with our EU rep issues, but we are going to just take a risk and ship out the orders for this one, since it is so few. Please be aware of your tracking, and watch it like a hawk! You are responsible for any Import duties and VAT tax, not us! So please make sure you are on top of it!
If your card declines you will be charged again on our next round, but if we don’t hear from you that you are fixing it, and a timeline, then you will be forfeiting your order. This only applies to people who ignore the emails, have said nothing and cards continue to decline.
Some are shown to not have their shipping addresses filled out! Please go into your backerkit account and make sure everything is correct so we can get through these orders as painlessly and quickly as possible!
LANYARD ISSUE:
The chocness monster lanyards are unacceptable to sell, so we are getting them replaced. I don’t have a better photo but the words and all the images were completely cut off.
I’m giving those that ordered it two options. You can 1 wait to get your whole order when the new replacement lanyards arrive, or you can just choose a different lanyard from the 20 new designs we created! Send me an email at [email protected] if you’d like to choose a new lanyard instead of the other and I’ll make note of it for your order!
We are doing a Winter Holiday Backerkit Sale of things we already have in stock and we don’t want a ton of different campaigns overlapping so we want to get this closed out quickly!
If you didn’t order a lanyard and want one of our awesome new designs don’t fret! These will be available in the holiday market as either individual purchase add-on or part of a stocking stuffer bundle! So make sure you follow the link below!
We also have a limited amount of extra Peppermint Chocness that will be available in time for the holiday season only on our Winter Market Campaign! So make sure you are following for the early bird bonuses!
Our factory has airshipped 3 mixed cases of stressies to us, which will get here ahead of the rest of them that have now been shipped by sea.
That means we will have them any day now! So we are getting ready to ship.
To make this process quick and seamless, please make sure you have all your shipping addresses up to date, and a current card on file!
Other than orders with Wildest dreams we will only give you ONE WEEK to get the correct card on file for shipping once we have made the initial charges or you will be forfeiting your order! We want to get through this quickly and painlessly, so we can also get going on series 2!
Please be responsible and check your backerkit account and make sure all the info is up to date!
Now on to some other updates:
We have been invited to join the holiday market here on backerkit! This is different than regular crowdfunding. We will be selling stock we already have on hand so this is a chance if you regret not purchasing something before to get some of our viral and beloved characters before the holidays! They will also be at a slight discount! So make sure you are following our upcoming holiday campaign.
Sorry for my silence. We are exhausted after a long prep and then crazy Dragon Con. During all of this, we have been having a lot of back and forth with our factory due to our nessies being among many other client’s orders on a freight that got held up in customs.
I followed up again last night and found out today that they are now being shipped BACK to the factory in china and our rep told us they will then be shipping them back to us via fast sea, instead of the original freight we paid. Fast sea only cuts off like a week or two, so all of this sounds like it is going to take another month or two to get to us. And Trust me I’m not happy. But I’ll keep you all informed as soon as we know more or they are close to arriving.
I’ll make another update when we are ready to charge all the shipping!
All orders should be locked so shipping charges should be soon! Please make sure your shipping addresses and card on file is up to date so you can pay shipping when we are ready so we can make this campaign go as fast and as painless as possible!
We would have already had all of them shipped out and honestly, the one box extra they sent is almost sold out and they did amazing at dragon con! People LOVE them!!
We are closing our series 2 pre-orders VERY SOON, which will be being manufactured by our dragon factory. So, if you want any of the new weighted nessies or other two stressies now is the last chance to preorder before we give final counts!
They somehow made an extra amount of Peppermint ones so we got those to sell at dragon con and they are already almost sold out! I think once you guys get your nessies you will be pleasantly surprised at how nice they are!
We still have a few left and may release them with our next campaign so be sure to be following us!
DRAGON CON Was nuts but so good. We were short staffed due to a situation that happened at the beginning, that was super stressful. So, I was alone in the art show almost the entirety of the week aside from when a couple attendee friends were able to pitch in to help. Our friend who was a volunteer got thrown into the deep end at the comfort kingdom booth and without whom this entire weekend would have been a disaster. She was PHENOMENAL and we broke records! It unfortunately will take more than two weeks to get any of the sales money, but we should be able to get things caught up a bit and even start Wildest Dreams production and get things all finished!
Things are moving and we are seeing the end of the tunnel to get all caught back up!
We are already prepping for Dream Keep Series 2 which will launch next year 2027 around fall right before dragon con so make sure you are following so you don’t miss anything! We have decided to use our original crowdfunding platform for that one until we build up our followers a bit more and then we will do the future campaigns most likely solely on backerkit.
The Nessies have made it to the US a while ago, but apparently are held up in customs. I keep asking our rep what is going on, but they don’t currently have any further news. So it’s just the waiting game.
We were hoping to have these here and then start charging shipping and sort them out to have some for dragon con too, but that doesn’t look likely at this point… We even got them all paid and finished and shipped three months in advance but this is the world we currently live in.
We’ve not gotten anything held up in customs before, so I guess it was just our turn.
Other than that, everything else is here and or ordered and once we get back from Dragon Con we will at least ship out any of the pin only orders, or dragon/ pin orders that don’t have nessies, until they arrive. So keep your fingers crossed the nessies are freed from customs soon!
In the meantime our Series 2 campaign is still taking preorders, and we only need 40 orders to create weighted Dark Ness! Go pre-order your own while you can HERE!
Remember everything is extremely limited and most likely will not be sold online outside of this campaign so once it closes that will be it unless you see us and we have a few stragglers left to sell at one of our shows!
Amazing job all of you to our loyal fans and new fans!
Thank you so much for getting us this far! We are in the home stretch! I’m setting up the surveys which will go out in a few days after campaign ends and will allow for further add-ons and the pre-order store.
But can we unlock coy ness before we end?? I think we can! If not you all are amazing and we are so grateful for how far we've gotten!
We need just a little more to unlock her so lets see if we can!
What if the Lock Stress Monsters are shape shifted forms of the Dream Keep Dragons? Should they be a completely separate thing, or should they be connected?
If part of same characters and universe: In their natural forms, Dream Keep Dragons protect dreams, and keep them safe. However, emotions are deeply tied to dreams and somethings you need to go through them and work them out in your dreams to process.
When the dream Keep Dragons come down from their Comfort Kingdom they must always cross the vast ocean of emotion. To not get dragged down by the power of the raging waves of emotion, they must shift into the Lock Stress form.
They can sense and seek out the person who needs them most, and start in their small pocket form so they can be there for the human calling to them. However, as they grow with love just like their dream defender form, they can also grow into their “Emotion monster” form. Large enough to help you calm and settle your strongest emotions.
What do you think? Should this be tied to the dream keep dragons as their water forms? Or a cousin ajacent to the lock stress monsters, like how there are “Sea Ponies” in my little pony?” Or should they be something separate all together?
We are starting with Silly Ness, but I plan to prototype others, but only in the order that they are chosen. If we could get another weighted one who would be your choice to have as a weighted nessie?
WE DID GUYS!!!! You are all amazing!!! Next up is “Happy Ness, then Sad ness and THEN Dark Ness!!! We can do it guys! Just keep sharing and telling your friends to pledge! Even if you’ve already pledged you can also now adjust your pledge to be a higher tier if you want more than one nessie!
Remember today is the last day for early birds so if you want to adjust your tiers do it today! You can get 4 nessies for just 100 25 each! Or all of them in the set for $200! The more you order the faster we will unlock them! You can choose your choices at the end of the campaign.
