I'm back, bringing together my love for space, my day job and art to create a unique collection of kitties perfect for any home. In addition to enamel pins, there are mini add-on pins featuring magnets on the back for placement over your furry companions. These magnets work alone on any surface or over the top of any of your iron pins already in your collection. The initial goal features, not only the most unique pin I've ever made, but also an out of this world variant I'm excited to stock. Each pin is 2" in the largest dimension and shiny nickle plated. The background features a pearlized blue enamel that matches the galaxy background of Astroanimals and My Sky to fit seamlessly into any Cosmic Kristen collection.
Similar to the My Sky series, eclipse kitty features a star map. Each star is carefully placed to represent their relative location to the eclipse at 1 pm on April 8, 2024 in the northern hemisphere. Can you spot any constellations you recognize?
We have two small topper pins featuring eclipse glasses and a telescope lens camera. This lens is based on the William Optics Redcat 51 lens I use on my own camera for astrophotography! This lens will be venturing with me to capture totality on April 8th.
Why eclipse glasses? Well for one, the cardboard kind you're going to be using during the eclipse aren't a great keepsake as they'll fade and bend over time. In addition, the solar filter may become damaged and be unsafe for use if not stored safely. During any portion of the eclipse when the sun is not in 100% totality you should make sure to keep your solar filters on or do not look directly at the sun as even a short peek can permanently damage your retinas.
These toppers will fit on both my enamel pins and George's enamel pins!

Introducing the most out of this world collaboration EVER - Cosmic squared! In addition to our freebies, calico moon shipped by me and Neptune Comet shipped by George, our magnetic toppers will be entirely interchangeable! Eclipse glasses and camera toppers will fit with both collections.
GOAL 1 - Unlocks at $650 and includes both variant options as well as a FREE Moon Cat mini pin for all physical item tier backers of both my campaign and Cosmic Macchiato's campaign!
GOAL 2 - Unlocks at $1000, a tuxedo cat based on our mascot Stella with her own pair of solar eclipse glasses. The eclipse glasses will magnet to Stella and can be displayed over her eyes, in her paws or next to her on the fridge if you also add on our magnetic pin backs! These glasses are perfectly sized for all our pin designs (including George's outta this world cats!)
GOAL 3 - Unlocks at $1500, a grey tabby cat named Captain Kirk and his space imaging device for capturing the eclipse. Similar to the glasses above this camera is a magnetic topper. You can add it to Stella or our galaxy cat - or add on more for everybody!
GOAL 4 - Unlocks at $2000, a brown tabby cat named Hazelnut and her snack - a goldfish! She is prepared for the traffic jams and won't be be getting hangry on this adventure.
The design of an enamel cat only allows for manufacturing to be completed with Zinc. This makes these designs extra unique. The enamel pins will magnet to a specific location on each kitty and they will be carefully polarized to match.
A poll published 4/9 has a vote going - please let me know if you'd like to also see these mini magnets as stand alone enamel pins!
Below is a collage of the enamel pins with their magnetic location mapped out. All 6 of my designs will have two magnetic locations. The camera and fishbowl will be interchangeable while the glasses will be unique. (BUT - If we reach 80 backers we will unlock a star shaped pair of sunglasses!) In addition to Add-on prices for all of the reward tiers above, we have a few unique add-on only options. Including additional magnetic glasses and cameras! Additional add-ons will also be available post campaign in the pledge manager store.
The first add-on is for our magnetic toppers, the glasses are available with or without a commemorative 2024 printed on them. The entire set of pins is designed to fit 8 pairs of glasses and 7 camera toppers.

You choose which pin(s)you would like at the end of the campaign. You'll receive a survey where you may pick the designs you want from this campaign and submit your shipping address.
All shipping will be charged after the campaign is over. Your pledges do not include shipping costs.
USA: Pins will be packaged in a bubble mailer USPS First Class or Priority depending on the weight. For orders with more items, they may be shipped in a small box. All US shipments will come with tracking.
Canada: Pins will be packaged and sent via USPS international first class mail.
International: Your shipment will be sent via USPS First Class International with tracking. Please note you'll be responsible for any customs/VAT fees that may occur. It is illegal for me to change the price or mark the items as a gift on the customs form. Currently, shipping is NOT available to the UK if pledged through Backerkit.
UK/Other If your country is not available on the backerkit shipping you have two options, message me and if possible I will add it. If it is not possible due to customs/VAT pledge to the $1 price guarantee. I will reach out to you personally with a custom Etsy listing.

Hello! I'm Kristen - a rocket scientist and creator. I've dabbled in enamel pins since spring of 2019 when I made my first Fantasy pin, featuring my favorite characters Baymax and Pua. Since then I've created over 70 enamel pins and am looking forward to continue to expand my designs. In addition to creating my own enamel pin designs I have a collection of well over 1000 pins from across the world!
