All the pins are now here with me! I'll be grading them today and starting the first round of packaging, my goal is to finish and ship everything by monday!

Do you remember, yesterday, when I said, in the comments "unless there's a miracle, we will not be fulfilling this weekend?"

Well, just as I was winding stuff down yesterday night, I got the update that UPS has my pins. You know, after I cancelled my time off and made other plans. Naturally.

So, anyways. They will be arriving tomorrow.

We ARE sending BIRD CRIMES + combined shipping orders out this weekend.

Please keep an eye out for shipping notifications. All orders excluding UK should get a tracking number within the next 2-3 days. 

UK orders already have your Backyard Birds rewards. You will be getting your BIRD CRIMES + both of your cross-collab pins after the main wave.

If you opted in for collab shipping on the Bird Crimes project we are going to be packing your order this weekend. Then I will ship them all in waves over the next week or so. Hey everyone, 

This is a notification to let you know that this project is coming to an end and to provide you with the last shipping update, as well as end of project information.

All orders marked as "ready to ship" in Backerkit have been packed and are out the door, with the exception of any order containing the One More chapter tote bag.

If you did receive your order and are looking to order more Ink & Enamel pins, they are now available in the Etsy shop.

If your order contains the One More Chapter tote bag it will be shipping out at the end of this week. All your other items have been packed and set aside while we wait on the shipment of totes. Once we ship out those orders you'll receive a tracking notification via email. 

🚨 Incomplete Surveys

There are backers who paid for their pledge, but did not complete their survey. As well as backers with failed shipping payments. If you’re one of these backers, you have 30 days from today (September 16th, 2024)to fill out your survey and pay for shipping. If you do not complete your survey within the 30 days (by October 16th, 2024), per the terms and conditions of this project, that you agreed to when you submitted and paid for your pledge, you forfeit your rewards and will not be given a refund, or your rewards.

There are currently 4 backers with failed survey charges. This means that you filled out your survey and provided card details, but when we charged your card for shipping, the payment failed. If you do not complete your payment within the 30 days (today to October 16th, 2024), per the terms and conditions of this project, that you agreed to when you submitted and paid for your pledge, you forfeit your rewards and will not be given a refund, or your rewards

Please note that the project will close on November 1st, 2024. After that date we do not check the pledge manager. While you will still be able to complete your survey after that date, your order will not be fulfilled.

🚨 Charge Disputed

If your bank disputed your charge then you may have submitted your survey, but technically your order has not been paid for because the bank revoked the funds. If this happened to your order we sent an email with information on how to pay for your pledge. If we do not receive an email within 30 days of when we first reached out, you will forfeit your rewards and will not be given a refund. 

📦 Orders that were returned to sender

If we receive an order that’s been returned to sender, we will email to let you know. That email will contain information on how to get your package sent out again. If we do not receive a response within 45 days of our initial email, you forfeit your rewards and will not be given a refund. 

📦 Never received orders

If your order tracking email says “delivered”, but you did not receive your order, please first contact your local post office with your tracking number. Your post office is the best chance of finding the lost order. If your local post office cannot locate your package, please email us at [email protected]

If you did not receive your package because of an address change, or because you entered the wrong address, and did not notify us of an address change, we can ship your order again, but as backer you are responsible for paying a second shipping fee, per the terms and conditions of this project. If you did notify us of an address change but have not received your order, please email us at [email protected]

For any US backers who are unable to locate their package, you will have 30 days (today to October 16th, 2024) to notify us that you did not receive your package.

If you are an international backer you have 45 days to (today to October 31st, 2024) to notify us that you did not receive your package. If you fail to notify us within those timelines, that your package is missing, you will forfeit your rewards, a new package will not be sent, and you will not receive a refund, per the agreed upon terms and conditions of this project.

We are willing to work with backers however we can to help get any missing orders into your hands. If you order is missing please contact us within the timelines stated above.

Doily is a little bear that I plan on creating as a plush toy! The project will include the plush, pins, stickers, and if possible, maybe even a children's book!

Checking in with y'all with some updates and some info - I'll start with the campaign plugs, and then finish with info on shipping & some updates for those who ordered custom peekers as well as pin boards!

My friend is running a SUPER EXCITING campaign to get these septum rings made - BOTH designs come in faux and 16g clicker varieties - I personally wear one of Midnight Springs' faux rings at a lot of events I attend (the celestia in silver) and HIGHLY recommend them :) There are only 20 hours left in the campaign however, and they are trying very hard to hit their next stretch goal of $2400 (requiring just under $800 more in backing).

Now to get into things regarding THIS campaign - 

I have shipped out roughly half of the packages! Those who ordered custom peekers - there was a massive delay in getting those printed (the company I use is run by one person, who had some medical issues for about a month after I placed my order), and then they came to me in the wrong size...I have placed the re-order and will hopefully have those in hand in the next week. As soon as those are situated I can send them out!

Those with pinboards - I have FINALLY worked out the last few snags in printing, and will be sending images of the finished boards for approval in the next week as well! If at that point there are any color changes you'd like to make, please let me know. Once those are finalized, your packages will be shipped out.

I want to extend an EXTREMELY grateful THANK YOU for all of your patience with this process, and for being so kind to me during my first ever crowdfunding campaign and foray into making enamel pins. I am extremely excited to do it all over again with my next campaign, and hope y'all will be coming along with me for that ride!

This isn't a great one.

The long and short of it: due to a shipping issue, BIRD CRIMES will not be going out this weekend.

They are made, they are coming, but they were not shipped under the correct method to make my needed deadline... so they won't be here this weekend. This is due to a communication oversight with the manufacturer. I'm working to resolve it as we speak, but, resolution doesn't mean they are going to show up on my doorstep tomorrow.

For the past week I've been playing this by ear, but, considering the US carrier does not have the pins yet, me and Corvi have made the choice to postpone this weekend's planned fulfillment. We can't fulfill pins without pins.

I will post updates as I get them. I expect, hopefully, that they'll be in by the end of this month.

Hey Quirky Birds Backers! 🐦

I hope you're all doing well! I wanted to give you a quick update on where things are with your enamel pins. First off, THANK YOU for your patience as I’ve been getting everything sorted—life threw a few curveballs my way (moving, a car accident, you name it!), but things are finally back on track!

Shipping Prices & Address Locking:

Over the next week, I’ll be entering the shipping prices, email folks to review the upcoming charge, and charging for shipping shortly after. Once that’s done, I’ll be locking in addresses, so if you need to make any changes, now’s your chance! Keep an eye on your inbox for the charge and address lock notifications.

A Few Life Updates:

I’ll be out of town for a wedding until October 1st 🎉, but don’t worry—most of the Quirky Birds are already packaged up and ready to fly out as soon as I’m back. You can expect to see them heading your way shortly after I return!
