BIG NEWS!! the new batpack samples are HERE and they look amazing!
introducing: the honduran white bat & the dreamy bat! these little guys turned out AMAZING, and alongside the obvious new designs, we've had a couple of hardware upgrades as well!
so... what's different, you ask?
1. we have a new and improved backstamp location on the back of the bag! originally, there was going to be a small screenprint detail on the back with the backstamp on the back pocket, but i didn't think the design read very well so I decided to nix back screenprinting altogether and just so the backstamp. i think it looks clean and classy!
2. we have a new and improved zipper! in the original sample, the zipper was pretty flimsy and the bag would completely open if you tugged on it with even a little bit of force. these new zippers are a HUGE improvement!
we have a few changes to make still -- id wanted to try a double leather layer on the faces & I'd like to change the yellow in the honduran white bat's face to match the yellow of the wings, but so far so good!

Feedback Needed
We went a bit overboard with designing this one. What was supposed to be a "one-shot adventure" turned into a beautiful 20-page PDF. 📝A Side Note about AI
This was also our first dive into trying AI-generated images in our content. It was interesting, yet frustrating at times. I'd have preferred using our artists, but this project didn't land the backing to allow us to produce that much art for a stretch goal.

Hi all! Due to some outside circumstances we've decided to PAUSE the Critter Claws project for the time being. We will be relaunching it in MARCH, once we’ve had time to get a couple more samples in to show you guys! Don’t worry- there will still be critter claws for y’all! Thank you all for your love and support!
I wanted to take a moment to provide some updates regarding the shipping process and address a few important points. I also want to apologize if previous updates haven't reached everyone—using mobile to manage these has caused some issues, so that's my oversight.
Shipping Updates:
Most of the shipping costs have been covered at this point.
The only outstanding shipping costs are for the Vee bags.
Stolitz bags are currently on heavy hold. Refunds for that specific BackerKit may need to happen, though I haven’t finalized that decision yet. I might need to find a new manufacturer for those bags since production has not yet started.
Funding Support:
The GoFundMe campaign raised approximately $200—while it may not seem like a lot, it has made a big impact. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed.
Commissions have also been a significant help in covering costs, so I appreciate the support there as well.
Specific Product Updates:
Pledges for solo plushies and King Clawthorne bags have been shipped.
Keychains for the King Clawthorne backerkit will be shipped separately. An email will be sent to those who ordered keychains with offers for other designs due to the delay.
Communication Issues:
Please STOP messaging me on Instagram and instead use my email for inquiries. I’ve stated this multiple times, but I need to reiterate it here.
Additionally, please stop harassing me. I understand the delays can be frustrating, but this is a one-person business—I handle everything entirely by myself. This includes:

a very happy new year's eve, everyone! I have a few very exciting updates to share with you all today as we head into 2025.
first: our total donation amount to lubee bat conservancy for 2024! through charity sticker salss alone, we were able to raise $828 to donate to lubee for this year!
ive already made the donation, and will be continuing to donate any additional funds raised + will be sending any excess stickers to lubee afterwards as well. thank you all so much for helping to make this happen!
second: right as we head into the new year, our new samples have finally been completed!
first up, we have dreamy bat...
and, next, we have the honduran white bat!
both of them turned out SO cute and perfect, and i cant wait to see them both in person!
we also had another sample of brown bat made to try out a different zipper, stronger head construction, and a new location for the logo on the back.
once i receive these guys and confirm the structural changes are what we want going forward, we'll launch directly into our next round of samples: vampire bat, cupid bat, and tangerine bat!
now that i have a better idea of about how long it takes to do each set of samples, im going to be re-evaluating our production timeline to take the longer sample time into account. during this next round of samples, im hoping to also get all of the remaining enamel pin designs made, so that i can start shipping out everyone's campaign rewards ASAP while we wait for the batpacks themselves!

Today I sent the smoke test which sends surveys to 5% of the backers! If you got one, please respond and click the boxes so we know the survey works. As long as that all goes well, I’ll be able to send the rest of surveys tomorrow 🥳
Production has started for both bags and mini pins. Once surveys are back I can figure out how many perler pins and jack plush keychains we need.

I'm always looking to improve so are there some features you'd like to see for the Hip Hatchling? So far we have the ita bag window (something you don't see often in hip bags!), the hidden pockets, the extra hardware rings for hanging items on the bag (decor or otherwise) and the handle on the back for when you need to carry not wear.
