Project Update: Surveys and Shipping info!
Our survey's are approved to send out, so that will occur soon! I wanted to make a quick note that USPS prices are changing ----again ---- BUT I am not fully sure on the impact for Pirate ship prices. For right now I have our prices set at the highest I expect them to be so you'll likely see an $8 shipping fee on your survey. Once the new prices launch and I can check them I'll be able to go back in and lower them if pirate ship rates stay as they are now which is around ~$6.50 for most smaller packages. Since your cards won't charge for another month or so the only impact is your total due may drop slightly! I'll keep you updated on the final prices as I know them.
In exciting news, I am able to make a couple more mini pins! So I've included the golden slipper and ariel's shell as unlocked mini pin options expanding our line up.
For anyone who backed our $1 tier or missed the campaign I opened the pre-order store with what is unlocked and some bundle deals. Pre-Order here! The prices will increase once in hand.
Finally - a plug for our next campaign paired with Made by Max Designs and the rest of Pin Forge for Pocket Change. We will be back to our regularly scheduled cat content, with Meowsical Mini Pins. (All under 1") featuring some of our favorite broadway musicals. We hope to see you there!

Project Update: Midway through!
I did not expect this to go as it has based on the campaign pre-launch following and activity. I am currently reevaluating this project.
So - if you are waiting to back or hesitating for some reason but were a pre-launch follower, please take a moment to answer a few questions! Commenting on this post is open to anyone with a backerkit account - or use this anonymous feedback form.
- Do you have any reasons you followed but haven't backed yet?
- Is there something you expected to see but don't on the campaign?
- What could I change that would have made you click back?
- If I relaunch this project/similar follow on what would you like to see change?
If/when we relaunch I will host this on Kickstarter as many of my previous fanart supporters have not made the switch to backerkit. Feel free to follow there for updates in July with project changes from these questions! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cosmiccadoodle/grimms-fantasies-historically-accurate-princesses

Project Update: Welcome to the Fairytale
We are off to a slow start, but I am so happy you all are here regardless! I know some off y'all have followed me since I made more traditional fantasy pins and others from my OC cat series. This series is crossing a new boundary for me both in content and art skills. While the pins are inspired by characters we know, and love, they are not meeting their traditional look. Check out the story section to learn a little more about my design choices and the Grimm varition.
To create each character I dug into their original folklore and their disney-fied story to understand what they may be wearing and where their story takes place. Each time period was then meticulously researched for period accurate dress and hair style inspiration. Using these as references I designed each gown and hairstyle to nod to our expectations but explore what could have been a reality.
I am happy I was able to take a leap into this character design and I appreciate you all coming along for the ride. Growing my skills in my hobby is something I have been inspired to do thanks to a great friend, and it is scary to put it something different than the norm out there. Nevertheless, we all must start somewhere.
Here is a peak inside the doodle that inspired this series! This is what I would imagine a more traditionally medieval Rapunzel may have appeared, however her story is more commonly set in the early 1800s leading to a less covered ballgown look. Seen here in Disney inspired colors.
