Hello everyone!

Today I am excited to officially announce our work towards a new project: Wilderness Dragons! This concept has been living in our heads for roughly three years now and we’re finally starting to build it! Launch is expected in January 2027!

A few years ago before we started doing crowdfundings, Ryan and I went camping out in Yosemite, CA. While Ryan went off to hike up Half Dome, (it took him all day), I got to spend my time exploring all the nearby waterfalls and ancient trees. When we next got together again, Ryan had the fun idea of designing unique dragons around the wilderness features we had seen out there. Sort of like guardians of nature.

It was a fun idea that revisited us only recently when we half heartedly threw it into a poll. Well it turns out we’re not the only ones who love the idea!

So now I’d like to start exploring and mapping out this wonderful idea to the fullest! So often I make really large dragon designs with tons of intricate detail. For this adventure, I thought it would be wonderful to keep the designs in line with scout patches, which are two inches. I think collecting them based on your favorite visited locations might be a lot of fun!

Many of our journey updates are covered in our newsletter. For all the latest sketchwork and happenings around the studio, be sure to join here!

Make sure to hit the campaign notification to keep watch for when we launch! All followers will get a pinecone minipin with their pledge!

We’re still in the very early, messy sketchbook days of this project. We’re not even certain yet which dragons to look for out there. So we’d like to ask you to be our travel guide! Where should we explore and discover dragons?

Until next time,

Arielle + Ryan
