We just received word from the factory that the final Monty Python's Holy Grail Game prototypes have been completed and are being strapped to swallows to ship to us right now via USPS (Unusual Swallows Parcel Shipping). As the bird flies - we expect to have them in hand about a week from now. At which time, after we bust them open and play it ourselves, we'll be sending out pictures of what the final assets and packaging look like! Huzzah!
If everything checks out - and we are happy with the trajectory and distance we get from flinging farm animals across the board from our catapults - we will give the go-ahead to begin production in full force. That means we'll be able to share photos from the factory floor as the games are being made and we should be able to track the progress of the games.
Thanks to the legions of Monty Python fans out there, we have unlocked the broken card stretch goal! Yes - because you asked for it - now this special card that breaks the game will be included with the Monty Python Board Game! We're excited to add another level of unpredictability to the game which will lead to greater, more epic quests! Ehrm...well...at least it will make the player who gets the card scream "Huzzah!"
Now - on to the updates! The final prototypes are on the way to us. Once we have them in hand we'll take many new Polaroid photos and deliver them to you by swallow. We may even post them here in updates as well to satisfy those who are enamored with technology over the reliability of a migrating bird. Pish posh!

Quick update for everyone. We've been working with the factory on the engineering of the Catapult for the game and we are pleased to say it is finalized! We just got in the revised mechanics and were able to fling cows, chickens, and pigs with ease. We even flung a few knights...don't tell anyone...

We are also closing in on our late pledge stretch goal to add the "broken card" to the game! When we reach $349009 the special card will be added to all of the games.
We are expecting the final prototypes from the factory soon. Once we have those we'll send out some new pictures for everyone. And we'll start updating the manufacturing process with details and photos delivered by swallow. Keep some birdseed on hand and watch for more coming your way soon.

All the villagers in Camelot were clamoring. They wanted something autographed by the Monty Python alum and all-around funnyman, Mr John Cleese. So we said, "Hey - let's get John to sign something." And God said - "Of course, it's a good idea!" So, we did!
And in the way of the Holy Grail itself - we don't know what he'll sign. All we know is that it will be delivered by swallow and that it could be a special game card or a mini print or even a meeple. The question is - do you want an official thingamabob signed by John Cleese to ship with your Holy Grail Board Game? If you do - this is for you - click a button and buy yourself a set of the game and a thing signed by Mr. Cleese! The swallow delivering the autographs could only hold 200...so at the moment, we are limited to that many. We may be able to get more...or not. if we knew for sure this wouldn't be an official Monty Python collectible.

The Monty Python Game nears its final days here in the land of BackerKit. You've valiantly traveled the map in search of other knights to join this quest. And alas...the end is Ni. Er...Nigh. You know what I mean.
In just a few days our campaign will end and we'll begin working on the manufacturing of this holy grail of a board game. Now...when you are chosen as the squire, thou must pick up the coconut halves and clang them together as your knight travels across the board in search of the Holy Grail! We have decided to add the most cowardly of catapult ammunition to the Monty Python Holy Grail game as a stretch goal. When we reach $200,001 on this project, a shiny red chicken meeple will be added to the core game so that your choice of livestock ammunition now extends to poultry. Those who would dare position themselves against you in the quest for the Holy Grail will now feel your feathered wrath as a wooden chicken rains down upon them from your catapult.

Like a swallow carrying a coconut, we bring good news. We've ridden the length and breadth of the land in search of ways to ship the Monty Python Game to our friends worldwide with EU-friendly shipping. And we feel we have succeeded, or are at least getting closer! The goal is that by the end of this week, we will be able to announce official new pricing estimates for international shipping that will make the games more accessible to our customers around the world. We ask that everyone give us a few to wrap up the contract details and by the end of the week or next week, we will get another update with the new data.
