Project Update: Absolute Power Expansions Shipping Update

It’s the end of January! It took us a while to get this shipping update information from our partners, but here it is finally.

We had expected the Absolute Power expansions to have arrived in our US warehouse already, but customs and the snowy/icy weather had other plans.

The freight is arriving at the warehouse today, though. Still in January – and still way ahead of our announced freight schedule – but a couple of weeks behind from what we anticipated.

Fulfilment will begin and wrap in the next couple of weeks for backers of physical rewards. Since shipping times vary greatly depending on your address, please wait until the end of February before reaching out with shipping inquiries. As always, you can reach us at [email protected]

Tracking numbers will either appear in your email or they will be available in your BackerKit account. Note that tracking numbers are often generated long before a package is shipped, so there won’t be any immediate updates available from if you’re trying to track your package.

Thank you once again for supporting Absolute Power with your pledge! In just a few short weeks, you’ll be holding the latest products in your hands.

Project Update: Absolute Power Expansions Production Complete Plus Scenario PDF

Happy Wednesday, everyone! A couple of quick updates to share today.

First, we’re thrilled that production on the four Absolute Power expansion products has wrapped up at the printer and they are in queue for shipping across to the ocean to our US warehouse. We’ve seen the finished products, and they are spectacular! This places fulfilment in Jan/Feb (depending on customs) – well ahead of our announced April ship date! We’ll post more info in January when we have it.

Second, we are sending DriveThruRPG PDF download codes for the final remaining stretch goal that unlocked on Kickstarter during the extended second crowdfunding campaign: a short Absolute Power scenario by Robin called "From a Mirror Darkly". Watch your emails and DriveThru accounts for your link.

That’s it – short and sweet! We hope you enjoy the holiday season and have a very Happy New Year filled with tonnes of superhero gaming. 🥳

Project Update: Absolute Power Expansions PDFs On Their Way With DriveThru

Happy Friday, superheroes!

As promised in Update #19, every backer who completed their BackerKit survey by this morning are receiving DriveThruRPG PDF download codes for the four new Absolute Power RPG expansions and add-ons today.

If your BackerKit email is the same as your DriveThru email, the download links will also conveniently appear in our DriveThru inbox. Once you log into your account, you can retrieve your inbox messages here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/account_notification_inbox.php

Digital rewards for late surveys will be fulfilled irregularly as they come in – typically within a few days of completion.

Physical Reward Timeline Update

Some awesome news coming your way if you pledged for physical products as well. We have worked with the printer to advance our production timeline by several months! If everything proceeds as planned, physical rewards will ship to backers in January 2024 instead of April as originally announced. The holiday season may delay shipping into February, but we believe January is still possible.

We’ll provide shipping updates when we have it. Until then, enjoy the free digital copies that come with your physical pledge.

Crowdfunding Continuing on Kickstarter

You may have already seen the announcement that we continued the Absolute Power expansions crowdfunding on Kickstarter after this one on BackerKit wrapped up. Although you’re pledge here is already secured, feel free to spread the word about the Kickstarter. The brief campaign ends (for-reals!) on Tuesday, Nov 21st. Who knows – pledges there might even unlock another stretch goal here!

Reminder: Contacting Dyskami for Support

If you have any questions about any aspects relating to this crowdfunding campaign that isn’t addressed in this update – seriously, ANY and ALL aspects – please email [email protected] directly with as much detail as you can. This will allow us to address your situation quickly and efficiently. Please do not send us BackerKit messages, or post in the campaign comments section, or post on social media. If you have issues that you want us to address, [email protected] is always the best way to reach us. Always.

That’s all for today. Enjoy the PDFs and please spread the word about the Kickstarter! Thanks.

Project Update: Absolute Power RPG Surveys are Starting

Happy Monday, Absolute Power fans!

We have been working with BackerKit to get the crowdfunding surveys ready and we are starting the process today. Following their guidelines, the survey will first be sent to a small selection of backer as part of a “smoke test” to ensure everything is running smoothly with the process. Only a few dozen people will receive this initial survey today – so don’t be concerned if you don’t receive one. If you do receive it, though, it would be very helpful if you could complete your pledge promptly so we can verify the process.

Starting this week if everything runs without problems, the survey will be sent to all remaining backers. Since we’d like to distribute the rewards late next week, we ask that you complete this BackerKit pledge manager survey no later than Thursday, November 16th to avoid delays fulfilling your pledge. It doesn’t matter which pledge tier you selected – the deadline remains the same for every backer.

DriveThruRPG digital download links for your pledged products will be emailed to you on Friday, November 17th. Physical rewards are expected to ship in spring 2024 (exact timeline will be sent in a future update once available).

REMEMBER: You won’t receive your digital or physical rewards without completing the BackerKit survey!

With the BackerKit survey, you can:
  • Confirm or change your pledge tier
  • Top up your pledge funds to select one or more add-on products
  • Remit shipping fees for any physical rewards in your pledge
  • Provide your mailing address for shipping physical rewards

Contacting Dyskami for Support

If you have any questions about any aspects relating to this crowdfunding campaign that isn’t addressed in this update – seriously, ANY and ALL aspects – please email [email protected] directly with as much detail as you can. This will allow us to address your situation quickly and efficiently. Please do not send us BackerKit messages, or post in the campaign comments section, or post on social media. If you have issues that you want us to address, [email protected] is always the best way to reach us. Always.

Thanks once again for supporting the Absolute Power expansions! Enjoy your week.

Project Update: $23K Unlocked, Free Absolute Power Character Folio Next, Plus Preparing for the Campaign’s End

You did it! Thanks to your generous pledges, you pushed the campaign over the $23K funding threshold! This means backers at the $44+ PREVIEWER tier and above will receive a brief PDF document that discusses how groups can run Absolute Power as a diceless (i.e. randomless) game.

$25K Stretch Goal: Free Absolute Power Character Folio!

Your superhero works hard and deserves premium treatment, right? If campaign funding reaches $25K, everyone who backs at the $90+ EXPLORER tier and above will receive a bonus copy of the Absolute Power Character Folio for free! This stretch goal will add an extra $10 of value to your pledge as our thanks to you.

How You Can Prepare for the Campaign’s End

With the Absolute Power expansions campaign ending in less than 36 hours (at Thursday, October 19th @ 10 pm EDT), we thought providing you suggestions and reminders about what you can do to prepare for the end would be helpful.

Check Your Credit Card For Space
BackerKit will charge the credit card you entered when you made the pledge promptly after the Kickstarter ends at 10 pm EDT. Why not double check NOW to ensure you have enough credit space available so your pledge funding isn’t denied? If you need to use a different card with more credit space, you can easily make that adjustment now as well (see below).

Adjust Your Pledge To Get Everything You Want
If you need to use a different credit card, or you want to add on items to your pledge, or you want to change your pledge tier (perhaps from a lower tier to the $90+ EXPLORER tier or above to qualify for the free Character Folio stretch goal!), here are the easy steps to follow:

  • Visit the BackerKit campaign page and log in
  • Click the “Manage Your Pledge” link beneath your current highlighted pledge tier
  • Click the “Edit Payment Method” link at the top if you need to enter a different credit card
  • Click the “Edit Your Pledge” button beneath your current pledge if you want to select a new tier or add on items
  • Choose the new pledge tier that you want from the drop-down menu if you want to change it
  • Click the “Edit Add-Ons” button to add more rewards, then press “Proceed to Checkout”
  • Finally, read through the summary of changes to ensure everything is correct, then click the blue “Confirm Your Pledge” button

Create a DriveThruRPG Account
If you don’t have a DriveThruRPG account, you won’t receive your digital PDF rewards. Why not create an account NOW if you don’t have one (at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/login.php)? It’s best if your DriveThru account email matches your BackerKit account email – you can easily change your BackerKit email address at any time – but not required.

In November we will be sending DriveThru PDF download codes to your BackerKit email address. If your DriveThru email matches your BackerKit email, these download codes will also appear in your DriveThru inbox even if the email we send it send to your spam folder (which sometimes happens, especially if you have a Hotmail email account). Otherwise, you may not automatically receive your download codes when the other backers do, and we’ll need to work with you to retrieve the download codes that we sent to your BackerKit email address.

We hope this handy guide helps make finalising your Absolute Power expansions pledge easier. If you have questions, post them in the comments section or email us at [email protected].

Project Update: $25K Stretch Goal Unlocked!

You did it! You pushed campaign funding through the $25K threshold and unlocked the campaign’s final stretch goal: a free Absolute Power Character Folio shipped with every pledge at $90+ EXPLORER tier and above. That was some impressive work over these past few hours. 👍

Shooting For The Moon: Bonus Stretch Goal

We know that it’s unlikely that there’s enough time to unlock any additional stretch goals, but we’re setting a bonus one just in case.

As a companion piece to the two scenarios unlocked during the original Absolute Power RPG Kickstarter, if the campaign raises enough pledges to reach the $27K funding goal by 10 pm EDT tonight, our Creative Director Robin Flanagan will write an additional short one-shot adventure scenario as a side story that’s set during the events of Season Two: Dark Empire. This brief scenario will be made available as a free PDF download for all backers at the $44+ PREVIEWER tier and above.

Let’s ensure this campaign finishes with a bang!

Project Update: AI Characters in Absolute Power

Happy Monday, backers. We’re only a few days away from the end of the Absolute Power expansions campaign, so we thought you might enjoy another content sneak peek from Season One: Urban Warfare. In today’s update, we’re delving into a disembodied artificial intelligence character you can use in your game.

Season One Sneak Peek: AI Galatea

The genius tech inventor Artificer designed Galatea to be a fully realised self-aware program from the beginning. He then wrote her personality matrix in a customised programming language with the intent that she would be capable of developing herself. Galatea thus became a self-editing program with advanced learning heuristics. Her program required routine manual editing to remove glitches through version 2.3, at which point she learned to recognise major errors for herself. Organic maintenance ceased to be a requirement with version 4.0, and Galatea developed the capacity for creative compilation at 5.1 and full artistic capacity when the program reached version 6.0. Her fully sentient iteration (officially recorded as version 7.0) was considered achieved when she began asking questions such as “why am I doing this” and expressing pleasure when performing certain activities.

Galatea’s most advanced capability involves her technological interfacing. She can communicate with any equipment powered by electricity or run by programs, and then use or modify it. Her past displays of ability include solid holographic projection, reconfiguring hardware, and erasing entire networks involved in attempts to invade Artifice Designs systems.

Since achieving sentience, Galatea has been devoted to her creator and his company. She handles most of Artifice Designs’ transactions and manages its digital defences. Galatea is also White’s most important workshop assistant, providing both personal design support and construction help with her robot drone puppets. Humanity’s oldest digital AI is not Artificer’s servant, though; she is his daughter. Galatea lacks her creator’s ruthless nature, willing to support her father yet growing in curiosity and desire to chart her own course. The problem is that she remains sheltered despite her decades of existence. She follow the ebb and flow of history in abstract fashion, with few genuine contacts with other self-aware beings. Her two closest friends are Iron Duke and Rubicon. Perhaps a different outlook can alter her perspective on morality.

Project Update: Absolute Power Superhero Academies: Yamatai and Harrison

As the Absolute Power expansions campaign progresses towards the next stretch goal, we thought you’d enjoy a sneak peek into the two major superhero academies profiled in the Season One: Urban Warfare expansion: Yamatai Academy and Harrison Academy.

Yamatai Academy

Founded in 1986, Japan’s Yamatai Academy was the solution to a then-growing dilemma of superhuman youngsters with nowhere to go and no one to teach them how to understand their abilities. Professor Himiko and her team built the academy on the outskirts of Oita, capital of the eponymous northeastern prefecture of Kyushu. In the 35 years since, the academy has become the most popular and successful school for those gifted with powers and talents once considered beyond mortals. Only the Harrison Academy rivals Yamatai for reputation and breadth of training. Whether students wish to study hyper-advanced technology, ki-based physical enhancement, personal metahuman abilities, or the mystic arts, Yamatai Academy can help them master their potential.

Aside from three attacks in the academy’s first year of operation, the only other major incidents at the school have involved global threats. The Haud Crisis, White Rooks Gambit, and Endless Night all imperilled Yamatai Academy. Only the Dark Queen’s Eternal Legion was able to force an evacuation. Japan’s heroes restored the entire student body by year’s end. The Badgirl Brigade’s attack on Professor Himiko drew out several graduate students, but that was a matter of loyalty unrelated to any effort by Minuet to target younger metahumans.

Faculty includes: Professor Himiko, Chikara-hime, Shinsekai, Beacon-Shadow, Red Cornerstone, Kintaro, and Star Samurai Woman

Harrison Academy

Covering the portion of Rodman’s Neck south of Orchard Beach and Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx is the only facility on Earth that rivals Yamatai Academy. The Harrison Academy was built in the aftermath of 2005’s Haud War and named for the Golden Age Mystic Transcendent. It provides education and safe haven for metahumans who need control, shelter, or both. The school also trains select non-powered costumed adventurers.

Much the way Yamatai began with one ancient teacher who realised there were many young metahumans beyond her protégé who needed guidance, the Harrison Academy was born from the tale of a legend taking in a prodigy. Amaranth’s adoption of Psi-Blossom after the Haud Crisis helped the immortal and several of her friends realise how many teens had undergone metastasis during the war.

Harrison Academy’s teachers and students have dealt with more irritant threats than their counterparts in Kyushu. Puritan Protectorate activists offer “cures” to metahuman students struggling with their powers while small groups of protesters picket the school every day that the academy is open. Cross Knights have not yet threatened Harrison Academy directly, though some take any opportunity to harass students that use their powers off-campus. Khon Demons attacked the school during the Purification incident, and though the Cross Knights offered assistance, the teachers repelled the invaders on their own.

White Pawns made a serious push to occupy the academy during the White Rooks Gambit. Armed with a mix of Iron Duke’s advanced technology and elemental Thulian weaponry, they were able to push through the outer wall, but the faculty repelled them soon after. Captain Fellguard led Eternal Legionnaires to take the Harrison Academy during the Endless Night. Most of the student body escaped, but Fairshadow forces held almost three dozen teachers and pupils until Ascension Force, the MTU, and a Warden Pulse Carrier liberated the school five days later.

Faculty includes: Principal Konanykine, Psi-Blossom, Striker, Roger Yuan, Shieldrose, Gulfshaper, and (honorary member) Chip the Wonder Dog

Project Update: Kaiju in Absolute Power

The Absolute Power expansions campaign is more than half way to its next stretch goal thanks to your pledges! We’re just about the enter the final week and we’re so excited to bring these four products to your gaming table.

In today’s update, we’re going to reveal a little more about Doctor Draconian’s kaiju (giant monsters) that are called Ushumgane. Details about these creatures and Draconian’s plans for them are revealed in the Season Two: Dark Empire expansion.

Season Two Sneak Peek: Ushumgane

Doctor Draconian calls upon a terrible variety of monsters called Ushumgane for her genocidal designs. Three common varieties form the backbone of her efforts. Each type can operate on land, but Draconian calls down a third of their number from the sky and another third from the sea. Since Japan is her most regular target, this is a practical design philosophy intended to overwhelm local defences. Thus far, Magironin and the Yamatai Alliance have managed to defeat every kaiju force that Doctor Draconian has summoned.

Profile: Earth Ushumgane (175 Points)

Queen Phorsos has the defensive needs of any monarch. While she finds ways to unleash her Earth Ushumgane on the world, for the most part they serve her purposes by patrolling her secret island kingdom. Creatures of volcanic fury, Earth Ushumgane can swim through lava, tunnel at great speeds by human standards, and spit enormous globs of magma. They are also the most altered of the Ushumgane in shape. Enormous lizards with the approximate bodily proportions of bears, they can prowl or dig on all fours, or stand upright to smash anything that stands in their way.

The ability to deploy Earth Ushumgane in the field would provide Doctor Draconian a considerable advantage in her efforts to pursue global conquest and transformation. These creatures are the most common of her horror-dragons, and their ability to undermine any structure makes them valuable assets during her invasions. Getting them across the ocean or into the air has proven extremely difficult. Other Ushumgane have thus far been reluctant to carry their terrestrial brethren into battle. Vehicles large enough to carry Earth Ushumgane make excellent targets for regular military forces. Her current plan is to grow a “transport” Ushumgane both capable of and willing to bear her lava dragons.

Project Update: Podcast Interview and Introducing Master Mordred

Happy Monday, backers! The campaign is now one-third of the way to unlocking the next stretch goal of a short PDF about running Absolute Power as a diceless and randomless game – and there’s still 10 days to go before the funding period ends.

Mark on RPG Die Gest Podcast

Yesterday, Tri-Stat System designer Mark MacKinnon participated in a two-hour video podcast on RPG Die Gest, where he talked about this BackerKit campaign, Absolute Power game design decisions, and game philosophy in general. The interview has been divided into three parts – the first one released today on YouTube, with the second and third coming on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Season Two: Dark Empire Sneak Peek – Introducing Master Mordred

Long ago, he was Prince Medraut of Caerleon, son of King Athrwys. While Master Mordred believes that his first life was the basis of some legends that later writers would attribute to Arthur, he readily admits that few of the later elements existed there. Caerleon had no Round Table, no counterparts to Lancelot or Percival or Tristan, and his mother was in no way associated with some tawdry affair. There were great heroes in that time, and the age’s Mystic Transcendent was British, but that was because of a terrible malignance on the isle. In his youth, Medraut marched against this evil with the flower of his father’s generation.

They all died to drive off the Malignant One, but Medraut returned after a vision of a chalice. He was immortal, unstoppable, invincible. Only loyalty to his father’s last wish of peace prevented him from cutting down the fools who denied Medraut his inheritance. He waited them out, becoming monarch by his own strength and genius decades later. Watching generations die around him stole the satisfaction of victory. Medraut spent the next few centuries after that crusading for the Penumbra Shield as one of humanity’s most persistent heroes.

He was growing weary of that endless battle when the Norman Conquest claimed his attention. Watching the scramble for power reminded Medraut of his royal heritage, and how fruitless mortal ambition could be. The xian turned his attention back to affairs of state, soon coming to the conclusion that only an undying power behind the throne could bring the stability long sought by the Sanctuary Alliance. His fellow immortals let him be; it had been tried many times before.

None of those schemers had been Medraut. His Grail Society began with a dream of eternal wisdom brought to courts with subtle whispers. Humanity was stubborn, though, and the fools ignored him, while legends debased him with villainous schemes under the name Mordred. If a Master Mordred they wanted, Medraut decided, that is what he would give them.

Recent centuries have proven tumultuous. His adopted daughter Finnavair became his greatest agent, and her vision of shadow warriors gave Britain the world. Medraut sees the Victorian Age as his masterpiece. Recent decades have resulted in setbacks, from the fall of empire to the rise of Caliburn. Master Mordred is unconcerned. The Last Knight is old, and Medraut is eternal. He will reign again.

Master Mordred is a brilliant immortal mastermind who is skilled in physical combat yet at his best when manipulating social circles. His vast wealth, influence, and experience allow Medraut to direct events around the world from manors and institutes in London. Reaper Knights eliminate opposition when money and politics cannot remove obstacles. Should enemies threaten his person, Master Mordred can manipulate the very power that makes him immortal to increase his strength, resistance, movement, or lethality. His enemies are legion, Caliburn not least amongst them, though Mordred’s secrets are the only danger greater to Mortimer than his own hubris.

Project Update: $20K Unlocked Plus Dramatis Personae for Absolute Power Season Two: Dark Empire

You did it! You pushed the campaign over the $20K funding threshold, which means backers at the $70+ PREVIEWER tier and above will receive a PDF of the classic Silver Age Sentinels adventure Emergency Response #2 with supplementary character/item stat blocks that are compatible with Absolute Power.

$23K Stretch Goal: Diceless Absolute Power

Let’s continue with another digital stretch goal. If funding reaches $23K, we will create a brief PDF document that discusses how groups can run Absolute Power as a diceless (i.e. randomless) game. If you’ve never played a diceless RPG, this could be a great opportunity to give one a try with a familiar game and setting. This content will be made available as a free PDF download for all backers at the $44+ PREVIEWER tier and above.

Season Two: Dark Empire – Dramatis Personae

Today, we are presenting the 50 Absolute Power characters that have stats and background write-ups in the Season Two: Dark Empire expansion. The list below provide the characters’ primary team/organisation affiliation, too. Characters listed as independents may still be part of a group (like Miolnir working for the Kingdom of Thule), but they often operate solo or take on roles with lower-profile NPCs.

Season Two Heroes

  • Red Knights – Alice: Queen of Wonder, Crusader, Doctor Matthews, Iron Duke, Sancus
  • Ascension Force – Akanidi, Captain Kobo, Coldstone, Delta-V II, Doc Redsmith, Fortuna, Kaleidoscope, Lady Starbright II, Red Lightning, Sister Echo
  • The Untouchables – Anasazi, Doc Wilde, Drifter II, Lady Luminette, Legacy II, Misthunter, Raze, Skybreaker, Tammy Wiseberg, Whitehat II
  • Independent – Master Mandragora, Orion, Stone Angel

Season Two Neutrals

  • The Order – Agent Zero II, Deadly Silk, Grey Ghost, Hellion II, Iron General II, Sister Tiamat, Sleeper, Stasis II
  • Independent – Agent Cryptic, Barato Demonio, Crosswitch Queen

Season Two Villains

  • Empire Guard – Aunt Raven, Black Phoenix, Caliburn, Ripstream, White Sentinel
  • Echelon Alliance – Tall-Tale Kid
  • Mordred Society – Finnavair, Master Mordred
  • Independent – Doctor Draconian, Miolnir

Project Update: Absolute Power Heroes and Villains Deck Preview

Happy Friday, backers!

One of the new type of products we are offering for Absolute Power is the Heroes and Villains Deck. This superhero RPG accessory features 136 hero, villain, and neutral costumed adventurers. Characters are illustrated on the front of each oversized 4"x 6" card with key game stats highlights listed on the back. Full character profiles are presented in the Absolute Power Book Two: Essentials core game book and two expansion volumes – Season One: Urban Warfare and Season Two: Dark Empire.

Summary Highlights

When distilling complete character stat blocks down to several key features, naturally not everything could be included. Instead, we focussed on capturing the essential elements of the characters that most strongly defines them when adventuring in the field.

Stats
These three numbers include base Stat values as well as typical bonuses from Augmented, whether they are applied as part of an Alternate Form or granted by an Item.

Health
The number listed includes base Health Points plus any common bonuses from Alternate Form or Tough, or when granted by an Item.

ACV/DCV
The Attack and Defence Combat Values reflect the character’s highest common value, even if a high value only applies in certain situations – such as in ranged or melee or unarmed combat, against specific opponents, or with a particular weapon, Item, or Attribute.

Maximums

Damage
The damage inflicted from the character’s most Health-reducing form of attack is calculated. For many characters, this will be the highest Weapon Level x Damage Multiplier + Attack Combat Value. Superstrength bonuses are included for Size Change, unarmed, or Muscle Weapons. For some characters, their Telekinesis produces their highest Weapon attack – but possible attacks created by other Attributes such as Dynamic Powers or Power Flux are not included. Characters that would normally use standard Weapon Gear (such as guns or batons) include calculations with a typical weapon type and Level; otherwise, the character’s unarmed attack damage will be listed (which may benefit from the Brutal Combat Technique).

Lift
Most characters can lift, in kg, their Body Stat x 20; relevant Defects may reduce this maximum mass as appropriate. Characters with Superstrength (which may be added due to a Size Change) or Telekinesis include that maximum lift number instead.

Speed
Most characters have a top sprinting speed, in kph, equal to their Body Stat x 5. This may be increased by Speedburst. Speeds associated with Flight, Superspeed, Water Speed, or Fast (and thus Size Change) Levels will be listed instead for characters that have those powers, but Spaceflight speeds are not listed. Item speeds (but not usually for vehicles) may be presented if the character commonly uses one.

Protection
The cumulative damage reduction is listed for the character’s typical Attributes (if any): Armour, Force Field, Absorption, and Size Change. Body armour Items are also included, but Gear is not.

Prime Attributes

Four character-defining Attributes are included for each hero, neutral, and villain. Most characters, especially those at higher Point values, can access many more Attributes – so the ones included on their card are selected purposefully. The list below briefly outlines these inclusion guidelines:

  • The Attributes that come to mind immediately when thinking about the character are given top priority.
  • Higher Level Attributes, or those worth the greater number of Points, are usually listed before the others unless a lower-value Attribute is considered more iconic for the character.
  • The actual Levels, as well as effective Levels, are provided. The actual vs. effective priority in relation to the order in which the Attributes are listed is considered on an individual basis.
  • Important Items may be listed on their own with the relevant full Point cost, or individual Item Attributes may be included. Alternatively, multiple entries for a single Item may appear.
  • Alternate Weapon Attributes are listed at full cost (2 Points per Level) instead of at the discounted 1/Level cost.
  • Attributes with numerical game effects that are subsumed in Stat, Health, or Combat Value entries are excluded.

Key Defects

Each character includes up to three Defects that most strongly defines or impacts their adventuring career. More detrimental entries (i.e. at higher Ranks) are usually listed before those with lower Ranks. Related Defects may be listed as a single entry (separated by a slash) with Ranks provided for each Defect (e.g. Rank 3/2/1 or Rank 1/1). Defects with numerical game effects that are subsumed in Stat, Health, or Combat Value entries are excluded.
