Project Update: Bill Coffin Joins Thirteen Parsecs!
Pretty big announcement today: Bill Coffin is stepping back into the game design arena to do some work for Thirteen Parsecs!
To many, Bill is best known for his work on the various Palladium Books games throughout the 90s and early 2000s, including some iconic books for Palladium Fantasy and Heroes Unlimited, as well as the super fun sci-fi apocalypse game Systems Failure, and for his Dark Brittainia novel trilogy and his d6 system rpg Bill Coffin's Septimus. He's an ace writer and a superb game designer.
Bill has turned over a phenomenal story called "Beneath the Vaulted Sky" that will serve as our intro fiction. It's gonzo, gritty, dark, and basically insane. It's also inspired by our cover art. I can't wait for you all to read it.
He's also going to expand upon the story to serve as one of our Solar Frontiers, which should be pretty crazy unto itself.
I've known Bill for many years, and I couldn't be more excited to have him on board. He stepped away from RPG design quite some time ago, but every so often he likes to dip his toes back into the pool just for fun.
No, this is NOT the $5,000 bonus setting! That one is still on the table if we get to that stretch goal, and that one's pretty cool as well. At least, I think so!
Just a reminder that we're still looking to expand that raffle with extra Amazing Adventures books, but we need to hit $9,000 before Friday! We can do it - get out there, spread the word, and get as many folks in as possible!
