First, I just want to apologize again that the shipping timeline for this project has been extended so far. I expected shipping to begin last week, but it's going to begin this week. About 90% of the pins have arrived, but I am still waiting on the Chronic Badass/Babe pins, the Not Your Inspiration Pins, and The Invisible Not Imaginary pins in purple plating. (I expect the chronic badass/babe pins and not your inspiration pins to arrive this week) Unfortunately there was an issue with the purple electroplating on the Invisible not Imaginary pins, where the heat was too high and it therefore made the white enamel appear yellow. This means that those pins are currently being redone. (They did send me the damaged ones, which aren't really damaged, but just appear with a yellow tint, eventually I'll be listing those online as b grades) In the meantime while I'm waiting for those to be completed, I'll be shipping orders that don't contain that pin.

There isn't exactly an order to shipping packages, other than, everyone who completed the survey before the lockdown date goes first. Once all those orders are completed and sent out, we move on to the surveys completed after the lockdown. I am attempting to get all orders shipped within the next three weeks. 

Changing your shipping address

If you need to update your shipping address please do so ASAP by email [email protected]. Even if we begin shipping and you need to change your address, the sooner you let us know the better. Also keep in mind that if you fail to notify us of your update change, and we mail your package to the wrong address, you will be responsible for a second shipping fee to send out a new package. In most cases, when a package is sent to the wrong address they are rarely returned to sender, which means we lose money on product lost, and shipping already paid.

I received word from one of the manufacturer's that they are finished production on the AOS pins, and I am waiting for them to ship them to me. The other manufacturer is still in production (they are producing more of the designs) but they expect to finish production soon. I am expecting shipping to start within 2-3 weeks. Which means now is the time to update your shipping address if you need to!

I just wanted to stop by and update you on the manufacturing for the All Out of Spoons project. The pins are currently sill in manufacturing, and I received some photos the other day. All the designs are being worked on at different rates so the pins are currently in different phases within the manufacturing process. Apologies for sending two updates within a few days, but I mentioned I would post when the OYS 2 B grades went up for sale. A significant amount of AOS backers are also OYS 2 backers (thank you for all your continued support of my collections), but I know some OYS 2 backers were hoping to get b grades at a discounted price.

OYS 2 B Grades

Surprisingly there weren't a whole lot of b grades in terms of the OYS 2 pins, but I have listed the b grades I did find, and you can find those in the B grades section of the Etsy Shop. If you plan to purchase b grade pins please read the item description so you fully understand that b grades are pins with sometimes visible imperfections, and they are discounted due to these imperfections.  B grade pins are also final sale. There were a couple designs where I had several b grades, as in ten or more, and there were also designs where I only had 1-2 B grades of that specific design. Last Chance Sale
If you missed the last update I announced a last chance sale. During this sale you can get retired designs for as low as $2 per pin. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase during the last chance sale, you sold out some designs and it really helped clear up some space in the stock room. The last chance sale is still up and running, but I haven't yet decided if it will be indefinite, or if there will be an end date. It really depends on how much space I get back in my inventory room. One thing to keep in mind about the last chance sale is that these items are final sale, and not able to be returned. Hey backers,

It's been a while since I've posted an AOS update, so I'm here with a project update. The original expected date to begin shipping was mid to late March 2024, but it's looking like I need to push that back to late April 2024.

I was sick...very sick

I was a vendor at an Anime convention from January 5th-8th, and the original plan was to place the AOS order after that convention. Unfortunately, at that convention my partner contracted covid and I picked up a cold. I was sick with cold symptoms for about 4 days, and started to feel better on the 5th day. I took six covid tests for the first six days I was sick and they were all negative. On the 6th day I started feeling very sick again, this time with flu symptoms. I tested again on the 11th day of being sick and it was positive for covid. I am pretty sure I had a cold and then contracted covid from my partner. We did quarantine but still we live in the same house. I either had a cold and then covid, or maybe it was covid the whole time and it just didn't show up on a test until the 11th day. Either way, I was very sick for two and half weeks. It wasn't like sit on the couch and do some work kind of sick, it was more like lay in bed and almost go to the ER on a few occasions sick. Needless to say, I did not get any work done, which means I did not put in the order. I should mention that I am now better and back to work. 

Why the delay?

I know ordering pins seems like a simple task...look at the order counts, send the files to the manufacturer with the counts, and order the pins. However, ordering a large quantity of pins for a project like this is more complicated and takes a bit more time. It takes extensive hours of planning, counting inventory, making spreadsheets, and sending everything to multiple manufactures. Once the manufacturers get back to me it takes a few days to comb through every single detail in their quote to ensure all the correct details, quantities, measurements, and manufacturing processes are correct.

Aside from being sick which delayed fulfillment by two weeks, the Chinese New Year takes place in February and the factories are closed for two weeks. Combine being sick and the holiday break at the factory, and that pushed fulfillment back by a month.

Some add-on designs are being cancelled and if you ordered them you will receive a refund.

While I was doing inventory there were a couple of add-on pins where not enough people ordered them to warrant ordering a batch from the manufacturer. Every time I order a batch from the manufacturer the minimum order quantity is 50 pins, so if only 1-3 pins are ordered it's just not enough to justify ordering the whole lot. Keep in mind I'm only talking about add-on pins, and this does not include any of the designs that are a part of the main campaign. Below are the pins that were cancelled and refunded:

- Switch Pin - Pink and Blue
- Take Your Meds - Rainbow and Gold
- Take Your Meds - Silver

If you ordered any of those pins they will be removed from your order and you will receive a refund.

Surveys
There are still about 50 backers who have not completed their survey. If you need to complete your survey or review your survey, please search your email for a survey email from BackerKit. If you are umable to find email correspondence about your survey from Backerkit, you can email me at [email protected] and I can look into your survey and help you locate it.

This is just a reminder that tomorrow is the second lock down date for AOS surveys. If your order isn't already locked down, it will be locked down and charged tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that you have until December 29th to complete your survey and pay your shipping fees to be guaranteed the designs you've chosen. Anyone who completes a survey and pays after December 29th may not receive the designs they wanted. Even if you've completed your survey, but your card charge failed, if that card charge does not go through by the 29th and your order is still marked "failed charge" after the 29th, you are not guaranteed to get designs you chose. The order needs to be locked down and successfully charged by the 29th to guarantee you receive what you've chosen. I do order extras of each pin, but the quantities are dependent upon the current updated item counts in Backerkit, and I make educated guesses on how many extras to order. I will be placing the order with the manufacturer by the end of the month.

Adding or changing items in an already locked survey.

If your survey is already locked down but you'd like to change or add items to your survey, please email me at [email protected]. If your survey is locked down we can still add or change items, but it has to be done manually by me, so please reach out and let me know. After December 29th I cannot make any changes to orders, with the exception of addresses.

Address Updates

At any time during the manufacturing process, before shipping, if you need to update your address because you moved, please email [email protected]. I will send out another reminder before these orders start shipping.

This is just a reminder to those that have incomplete AOS surveys that the next lockdown and charge date will happen on December 18th. Surveys will begin going out today, starting with smoke test surveys, and if all goes well the rest will be sent out later today.

Please read the below information regarding the surveys.

The purpose of the post campaign survey is to collect your design choices for your pins, shipping fees (which weren’t charged during the campaign), and collect your shipping address. Surveys are sent through BackerKit, and you should expect your survey to come in an email from BackerKit. If you do not see the survey in your inbox, please check your spam/junk inbox.

Smoke Test
Today we will send out an initial smoke test, this means only a small fraction of backers will receive surveys immediately after I post this update. The smoke test is a way for us to find any errors or issues with the surveys before we send them to everyone. We will monitor the surveys during the smoke test and decide when to send all the surveys. If nothing goes wrong we may send them tonight, but if there's an issue you may not receive a survey until tomorrow. Monitor your email inbox today and tomorrow for your survey email.

Please note we don't control which backers are in the smoke test.

Lockdown and Charge Dates


This campaign will have two lockdown/charge dates. The first lockdown date is December 11th, and the second lockdown date is December 18th. The reason we are having two lockdown dates is because I'm working with a new software to predict product quantity numbers for the manufacturer. There is no difference between the lockdown dates. If you aren't sure about your design choices, don't complete your survey before the 11th, you can always wait to complete and submit it on or before the 18th.

Once surveys are locked down your card will be charged for shipping fees and any add-ons. If for any reason you cannot finish your survey and make your payment by the 18th, no worries. We understand that sometimes life gets in the way, or you might be waiting for a payday, or you need more time to decide. The deadline to guarantee you receive your design choices is December 29th. If you aren't ready by the 29th, simply don't complete the last step of the survey. The last step of the survey is the confirmation page where you can review all your details and enter in your card details for shipping costs, if you're not ready to submit, just exit the page and you can go back to it later.

After December 29th you will still be able to complete and submit your survey, but we may not be able to guarantee that you receive all your design choices. If we run out of one of your chosen designs while packing orders, we will reach out to you to choose a new design. It's very rare that this happens as we usually order more than extra of each pin. It's better to get your survey done sooner, and before the 29th.

Pledge charged failed
If your original pledge charge failed, or you cancelled it thinking it was fraud, you will still receive a survey. The survey will allow you to make up this failed charge, so you can still receive your rewards.

Add-Ons

The purpose of the add-on section is to add extra items you may want shipped with your pledge. Add-ons are entirely optional, if you do not want extra items, please skip this step. Please note that any items added from this add-on section will ship with your pledge level, and not before.

Stretch Goal Add-ons
You will see a few pin designs, stickers, and other items set as stretch goal add-ons. This just means that there is a minimum number of orders we need to meet to manufacturer that item. Some of the stretch goal add-ons were designs that didn't fit with the campaign, or they were too specific, or I just thought of the design after the campaign ended. If we reach the stretch goal quantity you will be charged for that item and it will be included in your order. If we do not reach a stretch goal for a specific item, it will be removed from your order and you will not be charged for it.

Changing shipping address

You will be able to change your shipping address up until the lockdown. After the lock down date, if you need to update your shipping address, please email [email protected], and we can manually update your shipping address. Please let us know as soon as possible that you need to update your address so we can amend the address before your package is sent. If you fail to notify us of an address change, and your package is returned to us, we will ship it again, however, you will have to pay another shipping charge. 

We will post an update for last call address changes before we start shipping packages.

There is a pre-order store for this campaign. The purpose of the pre-order store is to allow anyone who did not pledge to the campaign a chance to order these pins. You can access the pre-order store with this link .

Please note that the pre-order store is separate from your survey. All items in the pre-order store are in the add-ons section of your survey. On occasion backers have confused the pre-order store with their survey and placed a second order by accident.

Hey everyone,

My survey review from BackerKit was approved and surveys will be going out on December 4th. I am currently adding some last minute changes, and tweaking some details on the surveys. On December 4th we will first send out a smoke test. A smoke test is when we send out surveys to a small percentage of backers to ensure there are no larger issues with the surveys. Unless we find a major issue, then all surveys will be sent out after the smoke test. 

Last Call 

This is a last call to upgrade your pledge if you would like more pins. Please keep in mind you can only switch within your pledge bracket. Meaning if you pledged in a lower Eearly Bird tier, you can switch to a higher EB tier if you'd like. This also applies to regular tiers and patreon only tiers as well. You cannot switch from a regular tier to an EB tier, or from a regular tier to a patreon only tier, unless you meet the patreon requirements. Hey everyone,

Survey Update

My origianl plan was to send out surveys this week, however, I'm pushing that to next week. I recently had some samples come in, and now that I've seen them I want to make updates within the surveys. It's also a holiday week here in the US and often were less likely to check email during those times. I don't want anyones survey to get lost in the slew of emails and days off this week.
