Greetings, voidrunners, to the second issue of the intergalactic Alpha Star Magazine! We’ve scoured the universe for the best sci-fi content for your A5E games in our ongoing quest to support and expand the Voidrunner’s Codex--which, incidentally, sold out in North America, to our surprise and delight!

In this issue, we’ll delve into a selection of backgrounds and archetypes for those raised in societies shaped by religion. We’ll examine an armory of new weapon augments and explosives. We’ll search a junk planet for the missing Eye of Clintock in a new adventure from Thomas Pugh. And, finally, we’ll meet a brand new (to A5E) heritage: the Borians, whose homeworld is a not so much a planet but a system of 47 moons which orbit a mighty gas giant hidden inside a nebula!

So, step aboard your starship and join us on another insterstellar cruise. Just watch out for that giant space whale… no… helm, hard to port! Brace for impact!

All rewards have been sent to backers - all backers should now have their rewards or their tracking details for books being shipped.

If you do not have any confirmation or tracking information on your order, please send us an email with your address. We can then double check your order and give you an update.

Some backers have not yet provided their address, so we have been unable to send your rewards. If you completed your backer survey late after seeing this update, please send us an email to let us know it has been done. We can then arrange to send your book to you.

 We're now looking to launch Alpha Star 2 next month and continue the series! Follow on backerkit to be notified when we launch.

Backerkit has sent an email notifying you that the pledge manager is closing and your order will be locked. If you need to amend your pledge/address you'll need to do that over the next few days! Next week we'll start organising your address and getting things printed and sent out.

Printing and shipping via DriveThruRPG is estimated to take 2-4 weeks depending on your location. Voidrunner Codex Box Set add-ons will also be sent in January from a local warehouse.

We're also sharing PDFs via the pledge manager - many of you already have Alpha Star Issue 1, so no need to redownload it as there have been no changes since last month.

Below is the complete fulfilment plan for the project. Please note these dates are subject to change, but this is our plan to get you your rewards.

December 2025: Pledge manager will open - choose any extra add-ons and let us know your address! The pledge manager will close late December to allow for quick delivery. Add-on PDFs will be made available once the pledge manager has closed.
