I owe a big THANK YOU to all the backers and everyone that shared the project around. We funded earlier today under the 48 hours mark, which is not a negligible achievement by any means. I was nervous jumping in such a large project, not because I doubt our ability to deliver an incredible experience to the backers... but because of the size of it and the funding goal being so high. This means a lot to me. This is a very ambitious and costly project to put together, and I fronted a lot of the costs myself. One of the most important (both numerically, ethically and for the success of this project) was hiring so many illustrators. It means I don't really get a bundle deal for a large volume of commissions like on other big books, but I was adamant on having different hands drawing, because to me, having people from different sensibilities, cultures and backgrounds working on such strong concepts as the Capital Sins/Circles of Hell would bring out something really special on the page. Illustrators weren't the only place we went big: the page count followed suit. The choice of hardback wasn't really a choice; it was a technical necessity. We advertised 100+ pages being cautious... but we will definitely be a lot closer to 144+ (the number gets more and more accurate as Lone Archivist keeps laying out the text and illustrations get added), meaning that a zine format was out of the question. We met some lovely folks during UKGE that introduced us to other hardworking folks who printed some amazing (hardback) tomes... and I am sure you will love what comes out of the press once we get there.
And to send us off properly, a little celebratory piece from ZaqueArt:
Cheers to funding! Art by ZaqueArt. All visuals are WIP and subject to change.
ADDITIONAL CONTENT IS COMING - STRETCH GOALS
Since we funded... it means the Gates of Hell are open! And something (in the form of stretch goals and additional content for everyone) is coming! I have the pleasure to announce that when we reach the next threshold of Stretch Goals (12,000CHF), Mathieu Baguet (RED NATION) will be tasked with writing and illustrating ANTE-INFERNO, a very important part of the 9Circles... the jump gate that could act as a hub for your adventures. This will be a little bit more than a space gas station... it will be a place for your crew to receive quests, meet people from all walks of life, rest, eat, refuel, blow off some steam... and hopefully nothing bad would happen to them... right? Right?
There is still a little bit of time to grab your Early Bird Bookmark for those that were on the fence!
Once again, a very big thank you to all of you who came back after BREAKING NEWS, and thank you for all the newcomers that support what I do and the team that is working on this meaningful project.
9Circles is about to take off, please keep your passports and airfare tickets ready.
Hello !
We are launching in less than 48 hours and I have some news to share !

Crowdfunding is a fickle thing, and momentum in the first days matters more than almost anything else. That's why the early bird rewards exist: to thank the first backers and help us secure funding fast.
LIMITED EDITION
Limited Edition. All visuals are WIP and subject to change.
Oh yes, since we mentioned it... we've cooked up a limited edition. So far we've selected a patina leather fabric cover made from up-cycled leather fibres; a premium product we can't wait for you to hold. One note: the final design may shift slightly due to printing constraints, but we're committed to staying as close as possible to what you see here. We have consciously selected a sustainable material: bonded leather, made by recycling post-industrial leather waste fibres. It's a genuine reuse of material that would otherwise end up in landfill.
NEW ADVENTURE COVER REVEAL
Art by SALAMANDER KING. All visuals are WIP and subject to change.
Here is a second cover reveal drawn by the talented SALAMANDER KING. What circle do you think this cover is for ?
This is all I wanted to share today. There is plenty more to come during the campaign, with exciting stretch goals and updates.
The campaign is launching in less than a week and I have a lot to share !
9Circles ACTUAL PLAY
Waco Matrixo plays 9Circles !
I am very excited to share the news, Waco Matrixo (the one and only) will do the honors of hosting an Actual Play of Crimson Nebula, the adventure he wrote for 9Circles! The stream will be starting on Sept 1st at 10AM PST (or 7PM CET for the Europeans) --> don't forget to set a reminder if you want to discover first hand one of the adventures featured in the Anthology.
ADVENTURE COVER REVEAL
First adventure cover reveal ! All visuals are WIP and subject to change.
Here is the cover of the first adventure to be revealed : Crimson Nebula, illustrated by Chris Askham and layout realized by Lone Archivist! I am so happy of how this one turned out and I cannot wait to share the other covers when we get to them.
CONVENTION ATTENDANCE
Going to Main Quest Con Sept 12-13th 2026
I will be going to Main Quest Con in Den Haag, Netherlands on Sept 12-13th. What is it? Well it is a convention entirely focused on tabletop roleplaying games! They shared with me that they are trying to make something wonderful for every TTRPG fan, and I am here for it. I am curious to be part of this second edition. I will also have the pleasure to meet Waco after months (over a year) of chats, collaboration and friendship. Waco will be exhibiting his work (and some other 3pp creators's) can be found there on table 7B. Don't hesitate to say hi if you are over there !
With all that said, there is a lot of work still happening behind the scenes, and I am so grateful for the 250+ of you following this project so far. We'll be announcing some Early Bird rewards shortly before launch. I can't wait to share them with you !
I am very excited to reveal the cover and the format of our next release: 9Circles.
9Circles takes Mothership into Dante's Inferno: nine standalone adventures, one for each circle of Hell, each with its own horror and mechanics to go along with. Play them as one-shots or link them into a full campaign with an overarching plot tying these adventures together.
The scale and depth of the project outgrew the zine format, and we made the natural choice to go hardback. We are deep in the process of choosing the right paper and cover materials to make sure the final book earns that format: something beautiful at the table and on the shelf, a book you'll enjoy reading and holding in your hands.
This also fits the philosophy behind how I design my adventures: easy to use and reference at the table, not only during prep. If you want to use a mechanic developed in one of the circles, you can do so easily thanks to the masterful work of LoneArchivist, our layout artist and graphic designer on this project. This holds whether you back physically or digitally.
I cannot wait to share more along the way. Please leave your comments and questions, I will be happy to answer each one with attention and care.
Also, feel free to share the pre-launch page. Momentum creates momentum, and it really increases our chances to fund quickly, which means more budget to expand this project's content.
