Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I hope everyone has had a lovely day of rest or spent it having fun (or eating a lot of snacks.)
I am now back from my holiday and running back to work right away.
Something new and exciting is being introduced into Pintopia 2026, which is collections. These are being called banners, which is just a couple projects grouped together based on a common theme.
The banner I am part of is Animal Akademia, and you will be able to find all the projects part of that collection both through a link in my project, and a tag that will be placed at the title once we launch.
If you back 3 or more projects in this collection, you will receive a freebie from each artist. Quite the incentive!
I'm taking it a step further and giving the design up to YOU to decide.
All these three species are ones that I wanted to include in the main campaign, however I already had other candidates for the time periods they're from.
OPABINIA - From the Cambrian period, about 10cm in length with one grabby tentacle. KALLIGRAMATIDAE - From the Jurrasic period. They are lacewings who might as well have been the very first butterflies. HALLUCIGENIA - From the Cambrian period, they are the ancestors of velvet worms, and scientists have debated whether they're reading the fossils upside down or not.
Only one colourway will be chosen of course- and that will be up for debate once we pick one of the species.
