Real quick note. I got approval back from BK this morning and kicked off a smoke test. That means 10% of you got an email about your survey. If you didn't get an email, don't worry. I'll be doing the rest of you in a day or two.  

If you DID get an email, congrats, you're part of the smoke test. Please complete your survey. That helps me make sure there aren't any problems.

Also, read the previous update if you see some crazy nonsense for your shipping rate. I'm here to help. Just use Support. Don't message me on Social Media please (seriously, I'll lose track of it.)

Hey everyone,

I want to talk a little about shipping rates.

They're super high. If they were any higher, they'd be on tour with Snoop Dogg.

It's not my fault. Nobody (well, nobody on this project at least) is trying to rip you off or overcharge for shipping. I'm cutting the shipping rates as close to the quotes as possible. We're definitely not profiting off it. If anything, I'm eating some of it personally.

The way BackerKit works is... you add a country, then you add shipping rates in a weight tier. So 0-8 oz is $x, 8-16 oz is $xx, etc. Most countries rates are more variable in the lower tiers, but after a pound or two, the price only changes at each pound.

The problem with this system is you get charged the same shipping for 3 lbs 1 oz as you do for 4 pounds. Those are the published rates.

This next part is important...

There's going to be some wonkiness in a few places, and if you run into something that is just stupidly, egregiously, disproportionally high, contact me via SUPPORT and I'll have a look.

Using SUPPORT guarantees I see it. Don't message me on social media. Don't send a PM. Don't writhe about in agony in the comments section. USE SUPPORT. I genuinely want to fix problems as they arise, so help me help you.  

I have entered custom rates for USA, UK, EU countries, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. 

If your "ship to" country is not in this list, you ended up in the Everywhere Else* bucket and your shipping rates will likely be too high. If this is the case, stop. Don't check out. CONTACT ME... (where? say it with me...) via SUPPORT and I will add specific rates for your country and then you can check out.

*Why is my country in the Everywhere Else bucket? Because BackerKit doesn't give me an easy way to see a list of countries to ship to until people complete surveys, and since I need the postal rates BEFORE then, I'm just starting with the countries I ship to the most. If you want a more precise rate for your country, and it's not on the list above, CONTACT ME via SUPPORT.

I'm still working on the Survey Questions, but should have those wrapped up over the weekend, followed by a smoke test, and then SURVEYS!! Huzzah.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the dead air.  It's been a very productive few months and we're almost ready for you.

The Pledge Manager should be up by May 15th. We've reached out to our shipping partner for postal rates and should have those soon. Everything else is set up, so that's the final piece.

Layout for EDZ 4 is done and we have all the content for EDZ 5, Tower 2, and sMörkåsBorg 2 so those are all in layout or about to be.. Still waiting on a couple things for Deep Zine, but don't anticipate a long wait for that. 

Our DCC & 5e project The Carnivorous Cauldron  just ended (after 3 1/2 days of over time mode) so we'll start setting up the pledge manager for that one after this one is up and running.

There's a new printing of KINLESS with a foil vegvisir cover coming out in June. It's only available via retail distribution and it's a limited print run. So if brutally hard solo Viking survival adventure is your jam, ask your FLGS to order you a copy.

Hi everyone!

I know this "Hey we funded!" email is a couple days late and I apologize. Everyone in my house (including me) was sick over the weekend and I'm just now getting back up to speed. So let me start with a big

to everyone involved. This has been a great campaign and we had a blast seeing all the other Zinetopia projects. I think I personally backed 16 of them. Lots of fun concepts and ideas.

So, now what?
Now we wait. BackerKit needs a couple weeks to collect funds from everyone and send them to us. We're working on the Pledge Manager in the interim, so you can add on anything you might have missed as well as pay for shipping. Realistically, I should have the Pledge Manager open by the end of the month.

Awesome News! The 4th stretch goal has been unlocked! That means Explore Dungeons #5 will be added to the list of available zines in the Pledge Manager! Annnnd that brings the total up to 10 zines in the All Digital Zines pledge.

We have pledge levels ranging from 1 to 10 zines, and the more you get, the bigger the discount! If you've never bought any of our zines, I recommend the 10 zine pledge level. If you already had our previous 5 zines, and just want the new stuff, then the 5 zines pledge will get you all of the new zines. (EDZ4, EDZ5, TftT2, and sMB2.)

If you already pledged at a lower tier, it's a great time to increase your pledge level now that everything is unlocked!
