As a Latino comic creator of Cuban/Mexican descent, I just had to use that as the brand of my work!

HELLO AND WELCOME TO ANOTHER FWACATA ANTHOLOGY KICKSTARTER!

The FWACATA Anthology is a multi-genre comic that packs a punch, with fresh stories and ideas in every issue—all crafted by yours truly, Juan Navarro, creator of Zombie Years and Vigil and co-creator of Tommy from Creature Entertainment. Planned as a quarterly release, this anthology draws inspiration from legends like Marvel Comics Presents and Dark Horse Presents, but with my twist.

Issue #2 is now up for grabs on Kickstarter, and it’s like getting three comics in one! Let’s bring this unique blend of storytelling to life together!

ISSUE 2 starts new story arcs and continues a previous story from issue 1. As a quarterly comic, it’s an ever-revolving ball of creative destruction and rebirth! You know, COMICS!

The streets of Miami are about to get wild in this all-new multi-part VIGIL story starting here in issue 2! VIGIL is a long-running superhero comic where saving the world takes a backseat—because these maniacs are just trying to survive the day! This time, we’re zooming in on Meathook, the brutal protector who prowls Miami’s darkest corners, keeping the city safe his way.

But when a new drug hits the streets, laced with deadly Gamma Radiation, Meathook faces a threat like never before. If you thought fentanyl was bad, wait till you meet COKEHEAD! The stakes have never been higher, and Meathook’s fight to keep the city from tearing itself apart has only just begun.

We all know office jobs can be soul-sucking, routine-driven grind fests. But while some thrive in that dismal routine, there’s one creature that does not—and that’s a Unicorn! Welcome to the first day of the Office Unicorn experience; brace yourself because surviving the workday has never been this wild.

This series of comic strips, created in collaboration with the talented Kenny Calderon (WILD INX), brings the hilarity of corporate life crashing into the magical world of unicorns. After a year of comic mischief, we’re proud to bring you the collected version of all the strips we’ve done so far!

In issue 1, we met Jonathan “REZ” Reznick—once a corrupt homicide detective, now a man haunted by his past... quite literally. After stumbling upon a murder cult and botching an occult ritual, Rez is “occupied” by the souls of his past lives. With their help, he’s trying to make amends and save his own soul. But honestly, right now, he wants some ice cream.

While Rez struggles to do good with his bizarre new abilities, the shadows of his scumbag past are closing in, threatening to drag him right back into the darkness. His battle for redemption has only just begun, and it will get messy.

With pinups and more inside, every issue of FWACATA is a step toward building a massive, interconnected comic universe! Each story will expand, connect, and evolve into a full series as we go. The plan? To create an ever-growing, interchangeable web of stories, constantly reaching new heights and introducing fresh characters and concepts. And eventually, I’m aiming to make this a monthly series, bringing in other talented artists and creators to dive into the madness with me!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll repeat it—if I had 100 more years to live, I still wouldn’t have enough time to make all the comics I want. My love for the medium is unstoppable. I’m always scribbling the next idea, the next scene, the next look. And now, I’m finally in a place to turn those scribbles into full-fledged pages. FWACATA #2 is the start—a 24-page explosion of pure comic energy, and I’m ready to share it with you!
