Big update on how remarques will work for the Battle for Thuneworld Gallery and Studio Edition.
We originally explored doing custom sketches drawn directly into the books. After working through the production timeline, that was not going to be possible. The books need to be at the printer before we could collect requests, and we were not willing to delay the project to make it happen.
So here is the new plan, and honestly, we think it is going to be more fun.
Steve will draw remarque sketches live during the Saturday livestream.
Each sketch is numbered on screen as it is finished, like R1, R2, R3. Steve may take character suggestions from the chat, but he will draw what inspires him.
How to claim a sketch
THESE ARE THE FIRST 2 UP FOR GRABS - CLAIM THEM NOW!
1. Claim it in the YouTube, Facebook, or Backerkit chat When you see one you want, type MINE R1 or whatever number matches the sketch. First person to claim it gets it.
2. We confirm it live Once we confirm your claim in the chat, email [email protected] so we can verify your account and send next-step instructions.
3. Be on a Remarque tier If you are already backed at a Remarque tier ($749 Remarque or $1,199 Deluxe Remarque), you are set. If you are not on the right tier yet, you will have 24 hours to upgrade or the sketch goes back into the pool.
Good to know
One sketch per person. If you see one on a future stream that you like better, you can swap. Your previous sketch goes back into the pool for someone else to claim.
Every remarque sketch is sent to the printer and hand-stitched directly into your book. These are never sold loose or as separate pieces. They become part of the book.
Steve will draw at least one remarque per stream and may also have some completed ahead of time.
Remarque tier backers will be the first group to ship once books are in house, right behind retailers.
When we hit $75,000, we’ll send a full studio care package of books to Comic Books for Troops, helping put comics and art books into the hands of service members around the world. From Steve's studio to wherever it finds them.

We’ve been calling this project the Nexus Compendium, but a lot of folks thought that meant another Omnibus. What we’re really making is a deep, behind-the-scenes reference book about Nexus history, so we’re testing a clearer name. Which name best captures what this project is?
2025 was a crazy one for all, and a cruel one for far too many, but as long as we hold fast to one another, we can make sure 2026 is a banner year.
We took some time away from our own projects this year to support a worthy cause, the Horror Not Hate anti-fascist anthology, which Phil has been lending a hand to help Slow Feet Comics editor-in-chief J.M Brandt get the book (and his logo!) designed and ready for press. The good news is: the campaign just launched for the finished book! Over 250 pages of spooky stories and artwork sticking it to The Man!

We’re gathering the Crew to help us pick our next big project. Three paths are on the drawing board, and each one has its own kind of magic. Cast your vote, share your thoughts, and help us steer the ship.
No pressure—just a fun little studio huddle with friends.
With countless weeks spent in the Rude Dude home finalizing the Studio Preview Edition of Nexus, we’ve been scrambling to figure out what we can offer for holiday sales. (A bit last minute, we know) On top of offering a bundle for families of troops, we’ve squished it down to 4 options.
We would love to hear your feedback on what you’d like to see. (Of course if you have anything else in mind, we’d love to hear it!)

What comes next for the DCC: Crocodile campaign?
Well, first and foremost, please expect us to stay in touch! We'll be making regular updates to keep you all informed on what we're getting up to, but here's a general sketch of what the next steps will be for this project:
We'll prepare to send out surveys for everyone to review and complete their orders. We're estimating that we'll have these out before the end of this year, likely this very month. IMPORTANT NOTE: we'll be charging all shipping costs later in the process. We'll let you know when that moment arrives!
We'll continue production on the comic, of course, but will also being production on the other rewards once we have that info from the surveys in hand.
Once we're close to fulfillment, we will confirm your addresses and collect shipping costs at that point.
If you've got any issues with or questions about your order, please submit to those to [email protected] and we will take a look!
We'll be managing fulfillment with our incredible partners at Vala Marketing, so a big yay for them and all their help in making sure that you all have the smoothest fulfillment process possible.
What comes next for Dungeon Crawler Carl?
One big thing... the DCC Volume 2 and 3 Hardcover Kickstarter is ending this week!! If you backed at a physical book tier, it is NOT too late to back the Kickstarter and grab your amazing bonus sticker sheet. You've got a whole four days left to ponder the princess, so... start pondering!
What comes next for Vault?
Aside from riding our fleet of crocodiles off into the sunset, we've got some other stuff cooking up in the background. You're a bunch of highly-motivated smarties, so you could always give us a follow and be the first to be notified of the next projects we're working on... but as always, we'll be sharing more soon.
From the entire Vault Comics team, a sincere thank you once more for a wonderful campaign. We laughed, we cried, we glittered yams, we made one of the most successful comic crowdfunding projects of all time...
