Project Update: I bet you forgot about this game!
Hello Backers,
I'm very pleased to announce that the print copies of VStream RPG arrived from the printer yesterday afternoon. How do they look? Well, I'll call it almost perfect. Despite two test printings and manual corrections probably three times, the cover is somehow off center.
Delivery of paper copies has already been delayed by more than half a year. I have made to the decision that perfect is no longer the enemy of good. In other words, paper copies will be mailed out to the generous backers who purchased such this weekend. I'm still hoping to get a shipping address from one specific backer.
I also owe a couple of you playtest sessions. I have not forgotten that.
Everybody else -- and I mean everybody else -- can download the game for free from Itch. The game does not turn up when running a search on the website, and I don't know why. You can, however, grab it if you know the link. This is the link: https:/zaboem.itch.io/vstream-rpg .

Project Update: Bad News & Good News
Let's get the bad news out of the way first. The past 24 hours or so have been a very stressful time in the English-speaking vtuber community. The collapse of VShojo and the scandal involved took no one more by surprise than me. Regardless of how any of us feel about it, it's okay to acknowledge the fact that the fandom took a big hit this week.
VStream RPG has no stake in the controversy. It's designed to not be connected with any specific vtuber -- yet. We're more about celebrating the phenomenon which is vtubing. The project moves forward regardless of what happens in the community. The only effect is that the social media campaign took a pause yesterday and today because the timing was just wrong.
The word "yet" got used because the just confirmed the first vtubing gamemaster will work on extended content for the rulebook. Diamond Dust, a full-time professional GM and co-host of the Wireheads Podcast, announced involvement in VStream RPG during a live stream this past weekend.
That brings us to the good news. VStream RPG is in the black! Generous contributions have more than covered the cost of using Backerkit as a platform. We've got budget now to commission additional content and an initial print run. You backers did this, not me.
