Project Update: Off to the next Stretch Goal! And we need your input again!

Hey Everyone!
We've passed the €5k mark, so the digital addon will now include additional relief files. If you want to see how the reliefs work, I'll send a separate email about this soon. For now, let's focus on what's ahead.

Thank you so much for taking part in the last poll. We've asked about the kind of stuff you're most interested in crafting - the thing you're looking forward to. And you made yourself heard. "Crafting universal, modular pieces that can be used throughout entire role-playing campaigns" was the most popular pick by far, followed by the love for the crafting process itself, and designing terrain for combat encounters.

Honestly, I was not expecting this outcome, and that's awesome - for me, this means making polls makes sense. I originally considered tips for another specific game as the next stretch goal, but given the poll results, I think I can do you one better.

Once we reach €7k, we will include an additional course in the digital addon - a guide to creating aesthetically consistent terrain sets that highlight the themes of your campaign or setting. Some essentials and tips on making pieces that work well together, that feel like they belong to the same world, even if one's a tree, and the other a village shrine, tavern building, or a crashed rocket debris.

To illustrate the concept, we'll provide a breakdown of the visual styles, aesthetics, and vibes of three standout movies, along with tips and advice on replicating their look and feel in your builds. With all this knowledge and examples, making consistent terrain pieces that you can mix and match throughout your campaign will be way easier.

Here's what we need from you. I've made a list of movies I find "visually interesting." You can vote on the ones you're most interested in seeing included in the guide. I'll analyze them and show you how to partially replicate their style and feel in your projects. The link to the poll should be included with this update, so click away! :-)

Cheers,
Martin from Game Machinery
