2220 is first and foremost a cyberpunk world and setting built around a fractured future — where identity, technology and social conflict collide, and reality itself isn’t always stable.
That’s the core of what we’re trying to explore.
The system is simply the tool we chose to bring that vision to the table.
We went with a d20 framework for its versatility, adapting elements like high-tech gear, vehicles, and psionic powers to fit the setting and support that kind of experience.
It’s not about one system being better than another — just a different approach.
