Project Update: Update #5 - Good News Finally
Hello Backers!
The last time I officially posted an update that wasn't just the general release I mentioned that I wouldn't continue the BackerKit Updates until circumstances change. Well, they have, in our favor for once. Just to lightly touch on this that contact with Gehenna Gaming is still non-existence I have not had any communications from them since late March as I stated in my previous update. As far as I can tell, all socials are dead, all websites are dead, even the google accounts that I had Eldritch Automata stuff originally under is gone. Thankfully I secured all the data when I did or we would be looking at a complete loss of the project.
But this update is about good news and what's been going on in the atmosphere of ELDRITCH AUTOMATA. Please if you haven't I eagerly invite you in the Discord community: https://discord.gg/cuEwTcP2T7 We have around nearly 500 member community that is decently active, plus I've been doing monthly updates there as I promised I would.

New Publisher
Pretty much all we have to do is sign ink to paper but we've found a publisher in Hexed. Hexed is a publishing company that comes from the same heads of Norse Foundry. Norse Foundry were actually slated to do all the dice mold manufacturing before the fallout with our previous publisher, so our circles have always been close. Finding a partnership that not only understands the logistical needs of the game but also understands the hardship we’ve been through has been a great boon in creating a gameplan heading forward for EA.
Hexed is extremely excited for EA, and is united in the same line of thought that I have in turning this game into a fully supported game line. They have given us an amazing road forward in providing EA with the support it needs and will be taking over as the majority of our distribution and publishing. This also comes with an agreement that will see major investment in future EA game line products. This means we will be able to get production ramped up on the PDF again and get it out as soon as art production can be completed.

Gameplan for Physical Products
So what's the actual plan for finishing the physical product? First and foremost let me acknowledge the continued frustrations of this game and the delays that have followed it. I applaud all of you for being understanding and optimistic through this process. The truth still stands that the price tag for the physical fulfillment of the original BackerKit is a hefty one. One that not a single publisher could simply pay and would not pay. However, in every discussion we had including with Hexed every publisher recommended the same thing. A rescue campaign. Now, this is something we do NOT take lightly. We also understand that some people might have doubts understandably. This new planned Kickstarter is essentially our last chance to fulfill these in any sort of actual time window. The costs for the production + freight comes with a hefty bill we don’t have and in the time it would take to raise that capital from sales would be not only stalling any future game development but also take years to fulfill.
With the rescue campaign we will have the chance to not only give those who have been patiently waiting for pre-orders a chance to get a copy of Eldritch Automata but also allow existing Backers to purchase physical copies of both Renegade Alpha (a new product I am currently writing, and designing solo as I did with Titans) and Titans of the Deep if they want to continue to support us without having to rebuy the book.
Every new pledge of the core-rulebook will not only fund the production of the book for the new Backer but also cover an old Backer from the original BackerKit. As soon as the preview page is launched we'll link it here. At base this will only allow us to fulfill the core rulebook copies. Stretch goals will be designed to unlock further fulfillment of the original campaign such as the printed dossiers, dice, and etc.
I’m sure there are a lot of questions around this. However to answer some of them up front for the original Backers reading this.

- Even if you do NOT back this new campaign, you will STILL get your original pledged copy if we are successful. You will still need to pay shipping and handling as that has not been charged yet on the original campaign.
- By default if you pledged for the physical tier you get the core rulebook, if we’re able to unlock stuff like the dossiers (printed versions), dice, and pins through stretch goals that will go into fulfilling the equivalent of those items in the original campaign.
- I have a record of all the previous Backers and control of the original BackerKit. You do not need to verify with me your original Backer status.
Thank you for your continued patience and all the continued support. It has been incredibly hard to navigate the situation that our previous publisher threw us into but we are happy to finally find some traction.
