Project Update: Stretch Goals for MORE Grimtooth’s Traps!

Thank you! As I type this we have nearly 1,500 backers, ready to unleash all these traps on their unsuspecting players. What an amazing start to the campaign! There is always a bit of apprehension when you launch a crowdfunding campaign. Especially when you switch platforms! But all 1,500 of you found us, and quickly! We funded about 30 minutes into our launch party yesterday, and then stayed on until we cleared our first stretch goal at $30K: A bonus trap created by the trapmaster Steve Crompton himself. As a matter of fact, all of the Stretch Goals traps are brand new, and designed by Steve.

Its my pleasure to present: The Curse of Nefer-Grimtini. This Egyptian-style trap comes with an extensive backstory and two pieces of artwork: Grimtina's sister Nefer-Grimtini, and a side-view of the trap in action. Its a classic flooding room trap, with a few twists: collapsing stairs and a sealing door. Those trapped in the hall as the live-bringing waters of the river cruelly snuff out lives have few options to escape!

But that is not all! Later in the afternoon, we unlocked our second stretch goal at $60K: Stalactites of Death. With a bit of help from Grimtooth himself, a band of orcs have turned a natural cavern into a death trap!

Not bad for Day 1. But Day 2 promises even more excitement as we rapidly close in on our next Stretch Goal at $90K: Pompeii & Circumstance. As you can guess, this death trap features ash and cinders filling a room to snuff out those pesky delvers.

All of these new traps will be presented with full game stats for your choice of DCC RPG or 5E. So let's keep the momentum going!

We want to hear what your favorite type of trap is. Please let Goodman Games know (otherwise Grimtooth will shove us back into his trap locker) by answering our poll below or on the discussion page!

And if you want to hear more about Grimtooth's Old School Traps, tune in tonight at 8 pm EST to WallyDM's Youtube channel for a livestream interview. Join the livestream here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzS7yjK6Lpo

Grimtooth himself could not make it, but Chris Doyle, 5E Product Developer for Goodman Games will be on hand to answer all of your questions, and give you the inside scoop on some of the traps in this book.
