Project FAQ
Physical reward shipping is expected to begin in July 2027. Arrival dates will vary by destination and transit time.
Shipping and handling fees are charged separately after the campaign ends through the BackerKit pledge manager.
No. If you reserved before launch, you can back an eligible reward pledge at any time during the campaign to receive A Devil of a Detail. The $1 support pledge does not qualify. Digital pledges receive the digital version; Physical & Digital pledges receive both formats.
No. The Temple continues our Gyzaengaxx tales, but you can play it as a standalone adventure. If your heroes have already braved the Tomb, the Temple offers another journey into that world. If they have not, they can begin here.
The Temple of Inquinatious Evil is designed for characters of levels 8 to 10. A Malady of Mimics is a lower-level adventure for characters of levels 2 to 4, and works on its own or as a sequel to A Trouble with Rats. These are separate adventures, so choose the starting point that suits your party.
Our six new campaign titles are Multi-system: 5e, 5.5, Old-School Essentials (OSE), and Deathbringer. Those titles are The Temple of Inquinatious Evil, The Befouling of Blun, A Malady of Mimics, The Sha’adenmere, The Village of Blun - Enhanced, and The Village of Etholmm - Enhanced.
The older adventures and rules material in these bundles retain their existing 5e editions. The Multi-system label applies to the six new campaign titles listed above. Each pledge description identifies the formats and system support for its included products, so check those labels when choosing your collection.
The Environs of Gyzaengaxx Volume 2: The Sha’adenmere is our dark regional setting, filled with misty forests, ruined strongholds, settlements, and mysteries for your own adventures. Its Campaign Setting Pack includes The Sha’adenmere, A Malady of Mimics, and The Village of Etholmm - Enhanced. The Temple adventure is included in the separate Temple pledges and in bundles that expressly list it.
Digital pledges provide the listed products in Digital format. Physical + Digital pledges provide physical copies and the Digital editions specified in their descriptions. The stories and core products in matching pledge pairs are the same; the delivery format changes. Some extras in larger collections, such as decks, dice, and certain posters or folios, are Physical only.
Choose The Temple of Inquinatious Evil for the main adventure alone, or its Adventure Pack to add the prequel, The Befouling of Blun, and The Village of Blun - Enhanced. Our Adventure and Campaign Setting Bundle includes all six new titles: the Temple, The Befouling of Blun, A Malady of Mimics, The Sha’adenmere, and both Enhanced village supplements. These choices are available in Digital and Physical + Digital formats. All Things Inquinatious, also called All the New Stuff, adds the existing A Trouble with Rats adventure and the Temple Stretch Print Package, with qualifying printed rewards included as they unlock. Stretch rewards depend on our funding goals. If you already own the Tomb collection, choose the six-title bundle or a smaller Temple or Sha’adenmere pack, and compare the listed contents with your collection. The larger Tomb & Temple and All The Goo pledges include older products too.
Our Multi-system products are designed for use with 5e, 5.5, Old-School Essentials (OSE), and Deathbringer. You use the rules and statistics for the system your group plays. For the Temple, our planned format pairs an Adventure Book with a separate GM Reference Book. The adventure text guides you through the story, locations, and encounters, while the GM Reference groups battle statistics into sections for the supported systems. Keep the adventure open beside the reference section for your chosen system. The physical books are spiral bound so they can sit side by side behind your GM screen; digital readers can keep the two documents open together. This format lets you return to the same adventure using another supported system. Check each product's system label in your pledge: older products included in some bundles retain their listed 5e editions.
All The Goo gathers the standard game products listed in its pledge description: adventures, campaign settings, player resources, maps, the Tomb print collection, our six new campaign titles, The Art and Secrets of the Temple, both Perilous Fortuity decks, and a green Gooey Fudge Die. You receive one physical copy of each listed product, with Digital companions where stated, plus qualifying Temple print rewards as they unlock. Stretch rewards depend on our funding goals. Products appearing in more than one included collection are supplied once, including A Trouble with Rats. The original Blun and Etholmm material in the Tomb print collection is distinct from the new Enhanced village supplements. The Ghost Stone and Crovenloft may share their existing combined package; two separate boxes are not promised. The included Art and Secrets copy is unsigned. All The Goo excludes custom portraits, gaming events or meals, shirts, extra signed copies, alternate-size or PVC maps, the Secrets in Genzacon Special Edition, and replacement card packs. For personal experiences or other special rewards, choose a pledge that specifically includes them.
All The Goo is $1,999 USD, about 45% below the collection’s estimated retail value with the full planned Temple print rewards unlocked. That estimate includes projected prices for new releases, and the comparison is before shipping and tax. It compares the collection with estimated retail value, rather than adding another 50% discount to existing website bundle prices. Stretch rewards depend on our funding goals. Shipping is charged separately.
Stretch rewards unlock as we reach our funding goals. Your pledge description identifies whether it includes Tier 1, Tier 2, or both, and the Digital or Physical format of those rewards. A Physical + Digital pledge does not automatically include every stretch reward in print. Pledges listing the Temple Stretch Print Package include its qualifying Tier 1 and Tier 2 printed rewards as they unlock, excluding dice. Product-specific qualifications still apply, including maps or portraits tied to the Temple or The Sha’adenmere. Check your pledge’s listed contents. Stretch rewards depend on our funding goals.
It lets you support the campaign and access purchases of add-ons through the post-campaign pledge survey. Add-ons are separate purchases. The $1 support pledge includes no physical or digital base products, stretch rewards, reservation adventure, or Golden Ticket reward.
No. Convention admission, travel, and lodging are not included. Each gaming pledge includes the backer and one guest, food for the session, two shirts, and the additional signed products listed in that pledge. Read the individual pledge description for its convention dates and included products.
For a pledge that includes this reward, the campaign must have ended, your pledge must be paid in full, and your character must be submitted by February 28, 2027. If you miss that deadline, you will still receive your custom character portrait, but it will not be included in the official materials.
Sign in to BackerKit and choose Ask A Question on this campaign’s FAQ tab. Select our project team for questions about rewards or delivery, or BackerKit Support for account and payment issues. Once surveys are available, you can also use Need Help? in your survey.
We cannot accept pledges from Russia, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria. This applies to all pledge levels, including Digital and the $1 support pledge. We also cannot ship physical rewards or physical add-ons to Afghanistan, Bhutan, Haiti, Kiribati, the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Turkmenistan, or Yemen. Backers in these eleven countries may choose Digital pledges or the $1 support pledge and purchase digital add-ons. Choosing a Digital or support pledge does not make physical rewards or physical add-ons eligible for shipment to these destinations.
We’ll release new Digital rewards as they are finished, ahead of physical reward shipping. Digital access requires your pledge to be fully paid, including all installments for Pay Over Time pledges. Currently available Digital products purchased during the campaign will become available after the campaign closes and your pledge is fully paid. Digital rewards from add-ons purchased through the pledge manager will become available after we collect payment for shipping and add-ons closer to the shipping date. Any of those Digital rewards still in production must also be finished before release.
You’ll access your Digital rewards through your Gooey Cube shop account at https://shop.gooeycube.com. We’ll email you when your downloads are available. Please use the same email address for your Gooey Cube shop account and your BackerKit pledge. If the email addresses are different, please wait until your rewards are available, then email [email protected] so we can manually add them to your shop account.
Our Digital rewards are provided as high-quality PDFs. Ready-made virtual tabletop modules are not included.
Yes. You can choose split-wave shipping in your BackerKit pledge-manager survey to receive eligible, available physical products first and the remaining rewards when they are ready. You’ll pay shipping for both deliveries. If you prefer, you can wait until your complete order is ready and pay one combined shipping charge.
Yes. You can upgrade your pledge level in the BackerKit pledge manager after the campaign ends.
Please check our BackerKit updates for shipping news. We’ll email you when your package is mailed. If a physical reward arrives damaged, email [email protected] with photos of the damaged product, and we’ll send you a replacement. If your package does not arrive, email [email protected]. We’ll investigate and send you a replacement.
BackerKit FAQ
BackerKit Crowdfunding is an all-or-nothing collaborative funding platform. Creators share their project ideas and set a funding goal with a deadline. Backers pledge money to help make the project possible.
If the project meets its goal by the deadline, pledges are charged and the creator moves forward. If it doesn’t, no one is charged.
Backers often receive special rewards for their support, such as:
- Exclusive products
- Bonus rewards for backing related projects
- Discount pricing
- Behind-the-scenes updates
- Creative input opportunities
Pledging in crowdfunding is a commitment to support the creation of a new product or project. Unlike a traditional purchase, you're not buying an item that already exists. Instead, your contribution helps bring a creative idea to life, and in return, you typically receive rewards (such as the product itself) as a thank you for your early support.
- Select a pledge level with the reward(s) you would like to receive
- Select any add-ons
- Confirm your pledge!
- You are charged only if the campaign meets its funding goal.
- Charges happen when the campaign ends, not when you pledge.
The creator will send you a survey to:
- Ask you for more information about your rewards (selecting options, etc)
- Collect shipping information
- Offer additional items you may want to add to your pledge
- Collect shipping fees (if applicable)
The survey will be sent to the email address we have on file with your pledge. Additional payments are charged when you complete the survey.
Only the project creator and the BackerKit Support Team can see your pledge and contact information. Other backers and the public cannot see your individual pledge amount or personal details.
You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.
Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
