Project Update: Sunday, Bloody Sunday-Progress Update
Just a quick update on the progress of the zine so far. Still on course to meet the original timeline. Got about two thirds complete and picking away at writing and layout. Excited to share a couple of previews with you today.
First up, is the King's Whim pub crawl. It's my attempt to capture the chaos of a real night out in point crawl format. Hopefully, some backers will recognise their own suggestions in there- hope I did them justice. Feel free to give it a bash and let me know how it goes. Real drinking along is, of course, optional and at your own risk.
And that's not all! We've been testing! We had a go at playing the Gargery Falls point crawl you may have seen on the campaign page. We used Shadowdark to do it and even recorded it. Check it out below:

Hoping to get surveys out over the Easter break. They will include song choices for the Stretch goal mini crawls so keep an eye out for that.
Ok, I think that's it,
Take care,
Uncle Dunmore
Project Update: Thank you! Achievements- pick a hexcrawl tune! Friday!
Thank you for your support- Great Hexpectations has funded and Zinetopia is coming to an end and it's Friday! This has been my first campaign on BK and I kinda liked it! The communities of backers and creators have been supportive and lovely at every hand's turn. There is something about feeling part of a creative, vibrant community that is so empowering. So thanks for being part of it.
Enough gushing! Brass tacks then. The campaign is finished. We hit another achievement on the way which was 6 mini hex crawls to be added to the zine. I'm excited about these because in true GGP fashion they will be based on Hard Rockin' classic songs. What I'll do is make a shortlist of 10 or so and you can vote on which ones get made into hexcrawl maps. So feel free to sound off in the comments below on which songs you think should be in the running. Classic rock, heavy metal behemoths of all stripe welcome!
In terms of completion, the timeline on the campaign still holds good-the zine is half written and layout has begun. Gathering the other Gorgons tonight for some playtests, which may fetch up as a podcast so keep an eye out for that.
Other than that, have a good weekend,
Take care,
Uncle Dunmore
Project Update: Your favourite pub, a taste of your quality, half term hijinks
It's Uncle Dunmore here, welcoming you to this saucy, unctuous update. It's half term here for me in the UK which for those of you who don't know is that time of the year when every Dad must take their small children to the cinema or the swimming pool with the slidey slides or as in my case, both. And everyone has fun...
I want to thank everyone who has supported the project so far. I've been bowled over by your support. So between popcorn and lashings of talcum powder, here's a thing I was tinkering with. The image below will be one of the 6 hexciting encounters in the zine.
So yeah, there's that. In other news, I've raided your comments for pub names and here's the shortlist:
The McGuff Inn
Bog Barrel
Fairy in Boots
Cavorting Cockatrice
I still need about 3 more so if you fancy having a fantasy tavern named after you (and who doesn't?), get in touch!
What's my favourite pub? Great question. So in my home city of Dublin, my favourite pub is Keogh's off Grafton st. In my adopted (and recently vacated city) of London, it was Bradley's Spanish Bar (off Tottenham Court Rd). I'm a simple man, I need darkness, good beer and a juke box.
What's your favourite bar? Let me know.
Look after yourself,
Uncle Dunmore.
Will these pledges require completion of the fulfillment survey phase in order to receive the itch/DriveThru code(s)/link(s), or will such be automatically provided via DM/acct-associated email?
Project Update: Back some cool stuff!
Seriously though, we at GGP published our first few campaigns with the big K and I've got to say, the people here are just so nice. If you've ever thought about writing up and publishing that TTRPG thingy you've been messing around with, do it here. Even if it's just to get access to the Discord and buzz of the likes and emoji based approval of your TTRPG community.
Enough blather, check out the amazing content below. You won't regret hanging on (unlike Hans).
And as ever, thanks for the support,
Take care,
Uncle Dunmore
