The Game

Welcome to Gnome Squad! A pocket sized squad fighting game.

Players are each dealt six cards and then must determine which four to keep, and the order to play them in, in order to make the strongest team possible. After drafting and ordering their squad, players place their cards face down, head to head with the opposing player's cards. The gnomes are revealed one by one, comparing each one's strength level after applying bonuses. As each successive gnome is revealed it can have an effect on the previous matchups! Once all gnome battles have been resolved, the player who won the majority wins a point, all cards are shuffled together, and another round begins. The first player to win three rounds wins the game.

Every gnome has a unique ability which can make them or their neighbor stronger, and having multiple gnomes of the same color on your team also provides bonuses.

The Art

All 18 gnomes will have completely original art, all made by real life human artist, Ben Fleuter. We both stand strongly against AI art and will be making sure that no AI tools are used in the creation of this game.

Each of the four color groups (plus the two wild cards...) will be a distinctly themed team:

RED - The garden gnomes

BLUE - Techno gnomes

GREEN - Forest rangers

YELLOW - Vikings

Purple - Wildcards...

The Materials

The game cards will be poker size (2.5"x3.5") printed on 330gsm black core "casino classic" card stock. The same stock as MtG and which all our previous games have been printed on. The printer that we work with is in the USA and prints all materials domestically.

The rulebook will be a single folded booklet that fits alongside the cards, printed on glossy paper by the same print house.

The packaging will be a solid color vinyl wallet with single color imprinting of the logo. These are standard to most of our other games so we are well versed in their creation as well.

This is all to say that there will be no delays for factory prototyping of materials so fulfillment will go quickly!

Shipping

Shipping is always tough on a small project like this and we recognize that. For a game of this size, international shipping can often cost as much or more than the game itself! I've run the numbers, and found that there is a distinct price savings when ordering multiple games.
