Project Update: Pre-order store is open!
The folks at BackerKit are reviewing everything to make sure everything will run smoothly. Once that review is done, we'll be asking for details including gavel color, name for customized stamps, etc.
The gavels are being crafted over the next few weeks. Assembly and finishing may take a month or so, because you are all so awesome and generous. So please be patient, and watch for production and shipping updates.

Project Update: Gavel of DOOM Update
As we get closer to the end of the campaign (this Friday!), I thought it would be a good time to provide a quick update.
The last couple of weeks have been focused on gavel refinement, lining up supplies, testing a way to create custom dyes, and following a bunny trail that will likely be a follow up project. More on that last one after this campaign closes.
There’s still time to back the Gavel of DOOM project. Please share!
Project Update: April is Gavel Refinement Month
We’re spending April refining the gavel design and coordinating suppliers.
The latest focus has been on the finish. Look for a non-binding poll on color preference to be published soon.
Oh, and Backers? We’ll be asking you about an idea for a SUPER add-on. Based on your feedback, that add-on may become a reality.

I think with this gavel I may start stamping separate sheets just to have an excuse to use it. Maybe instead of per adventure I may stamp per encounter. I already have several stamps and this gavel will be an amazing addition.

I know that two stamps come with the gavel, but could you go over and give us specs on exactly how we can produce our own stamps to go on our own gavels?
Project Update: Suggestions Welcome!
- Muzzles of DOOM, covers for gavel faces,
- Stamps customized with the judge’s name,
- A backer level for resellers,
- Pursuing additional game logos to include as stamp options,
- Adding a layer of padding to help make better images, and
- Providing final dimensions, for those who may want to add their own image stamps.

I backed at the $75 level and it says it comes with a survived stamp and two death stamps. So would the personalized stamp be in addition to those in the pledge level? Also would it be possible to get two versions of the personalized stamp one being a "Judge [your name] has declared you survived" stamp?
Project Update: Live… and funded!
The focus now is on ramping up production, creating and printing additional stamp designs, and getting ready for the fulfillment process.

Project Update: Wait, was that TODAY?
The Gavel of DOOM campaign opening is being pushed back a week, and the end date has been tweaked as well. Why? Because BackerKit gurus know more than I do.
The fantastic news? A major game company is planning to promote the Gavel of DOOM on their website starting next week.
And that is also part of the reason for moving the opening date back. There are a few more designs to be printed, and better quality pictures to post.
Because this is the big time. And you deserve the best.
Tell your friends. Your coworkers. That guy collecting the shopping carts. Yeah, especially him.
