Hello Defiant One!
I'm keeping this short and sweet because sh— err, I mean stuff is blowing up with the launch of the new book, Through Soul to Flesh, on Kickstarter. And I'm doing it all without Vren's help, because he's totally got a crush on the dragon princess and no one is ready for how that works out.
We funded within the first day – and we've already unlocked the first stretch goal with the second in sight.
Not all that sleeps should be woken.
She wakes to the harsh cry of a bird and the weight of iron. No name. No memory. Only chains sunk deep into her soul and a vow to a slain soldier pulling her into a conspiracy that reaches from the highest god to the deepest grave.
Whispers trail her: a message worth killing for, a power she cannot touch, and a presence older than time watching from the shadows. Every answer unravels into a new question. Every path leads back to the chains.
Someone wanted her bound. Someone wanted the message lost. Someone is very afraid of what she will become when the chains inside her start to break.

Hey, hey!
I seem to have broken the Hub (I know, absolutely no one is surprise), so I've had to use the emergency broadcast channel, which means no Vren, but he'll be back. Alas. Anyways, I wanted to drop you a quick line because it's been yonks since I gave you an update on how the books and everything are going.
The books have taken much longer, and been more complex to put together than I anticipated, but they're finally here. Check out the unboxing video below.

In good news, the Omnibus is almost ready to head to the printer, I just need your name for the Acknowledgments section. All going to plan—[🐉 The dragon scoffs. 'When does it ever go to plan?']—books will be printed and ready for posting by the end of January.

It blinks. There's a sound like a great bellows sighing and then… the camera pulls back and back, and back and BACK…
Eventually it stops and there, square in centre frame is Vren, the great cosmic dragon in all his frilled and horned glory. His mane looks a little singed and there's a smudge of soot on his long, equine-like muzzle, but he appears otherwise none the worse for wear.
'Hello, little mortal,' he says. 'I hear you helped with my… predicament in the Office of Narrative Compliance. The algorithms can be a little overzealous at times, not helped by the Author's constant meddling.'
From a great distance comes an indignant, 'Hey!', which the dragon ignores.
'For your help I must thank you, little mortal. My foray into the Library of Unwritten Things and then into the Office of Narrative Compliance was… fruitful.'
His gaze flicks down to one of the massive, leathery wings folded neatly against his scaled side, and in the crease where it rests against his foreleg, you spot the top of a scroll.
Vren clears his throat and the camera snaps back to his face, even as he taps the scroll deeper into the shadows under his wing.
'Secrets for another time, little mortal. Until then, I'm sure you're wondering what happens now that the Hero 10th Anniversary was a success.
'Well, once again the Author has left me to oversee everything, but she did provide this timeline of when to expect surveys and your books.']
