Project Update: The End Is Nigh. And So Is The Beginning!

Howdy everyone,

I know it’s been a while since my last update. A lot has happened in my personal life that has taken precedence over just about everything else.

Since my last update, I buried my grandfather. This took a tremendous toll on me and the rest of my family as he was a pillar in all our lives. Whenever people ask me how I came to create High Noon, I have always credited him as a source of inspiration, from all of the Western movies we used to watch together when I was a kid. Indeed, High Noon was – at least in part – my dedication to him and I’m glad he got to see it come to life.

And to that, as we said goodbye to the patriarch of our tribe, we also said hello to my son, Dwight Cenac III.

He is indeed a bundle of joy (and cries, and milk, and burps, and farts, and devastating poops) and I almost entirely blame him for my absence. 😅 Being Mr. Mom while Actual Mom recovers is hard work! I don’t know how you ladies do it. In any case, I guess it’s safe to say, there's a new sheriff in town!

Now if only he'd stop sleeping on the job...
We just have to play test him and ensure he’s not OP. (unlike his diapers)

That isn’t to say things haven’t been happening behind the scenes.

On the tile front, the final packaging artwork has been submitted and the tiles are going in for packaging right now.

Meanwhile, the Expansion Loot Vol 2 cards and the Starter Set replacement cards have been printed, packaged and are currently on their way to our fulfillment warehouses.

The 3D buildings, of course, remain our biggest challenge, but they are coming along and I think we’re nearly there, with only a few small revisions left to be made.

But this leads me to something that I’ve been thinking about and a decision I’ve come to make on this entire campaign.

You all have been so incredibly patient and supportive throughout this venture, but I think it’s time to pay that back.

I know a lot of you have repeatedly stated you’d be willing to wait for everything to be finished before receiving one shipment of the whole kit and kaboodle. Well, I’m putting the kibosh to that.

So here's what's gonna happen...

As soon as the expansion and revision cards arrive, I’m going to ship out everyone’s orders (sans the tiles and 3D buildings). It’s time you guys get some games in your hands.

Once everything is ready to ship, I’ll be shooting off shipping estimates to everyone and shipping off the High Noon loot.

And once the 3D buildings and tiles arrive, I’ll be shipping those off as well, but I’ll eat the shipping. This way, you’re not getting hit twice for shipping charges.

“But wait, won’t that be super expensive?!”
It won’t be cheap, but it also shouldn’t be super expensive either. Remember, these kits come flat, are made of light material and can fit in large envelopes and/or thin boxes. It’ll be a financial hit, but one I can sustain on my own and it’s a small price to pay to make sure everyone has at least something in time for Christmas.

So that’s that. And I ain’t takin’ “no” for an answer! …be…because…it wasn’t a question!

So anyway, that’s the update for now.
