Hey astronomers!

Just wanted to drop in with the news that all currently shippable orders have been packed up and/or shipped, with about ~120 packages still in my office and scheduled to be picked up within the next couple days.

If you did not receive a notification that your order has shipped, it is because:

I've gotten a few super nice messages from people who got their packages already and it always warms my heart and makes my day to receive such nice messages! 

If you put these pins up on display and want to share pics, please tag me @holoraindrops because I would love to see!

Remaining orders will stay on hold until I have the remade pins in. Once I get them, I will have to grade those before I can send them out. Once grading is complete, I will lock addresses with notice and start shipping as soon as I'm able.

For those waiting for the display board - it's still being worked on. Thanks for your patience!

Right now, I don't expect to ship out any more orders until after the new year. So sorry for the delays. I will let you guys know if that changes.

Hey astronomers!

In my last update, I totally forgot to mention that the display boards are not yet finished either. I was so wrapped up in all the pin issues that this totally slipped my mind and I do apologize.

Wayward is working on them, but the boards are taking longer than anticipated and they need extra time to finish them. Unfortunately, this does mean that anyone who ordered the display board will need to wait a bit longer to receive their order as well. 

I will be unlocking addresses for people who ordered the display board, and once I receive them, I will re-lock them with another 48-hour notice, after which your order will be shipped as soon as possible (unless you're waiting to receive pin remakes).

Right now, WW thinks they can have them finished by mid-November, but that could change. I will keep you guys updated.

Regarding the correction forms for the Sun, Blood Moon, & Stellar Nebula pins: I sent the emails out BCC to ~100+ people at once, so it's possible that your email marked it as spam. If you ordered one of those pins and you don't see the email in your inbox, please check your spam inbox. Also, please make sure you are checking the email address associated with your BackerKit account. 

If you double checked you're checking the correct email, and you've double checked your spam inbox for any emails sent from [email protected], and you still don't see the correction form, please reach out to me at [email protected], tell me which pin(s) you ordered, and I'll make sure you get the form.

Hey astronomers!

I know it’s a bit late in the day, but I wanted to post an update before the weekend since I’ll be tabling at an event and didn’t want to forget.

This means that I am ready to lock down addresses and start shipping. I’m going to start the process of locking addresses this coming Monday, October 12th. You’ll get an email with a 48 hour notice, and this will be your last chance to update your address if you’ve moved recently or some other reason.

This is also your last chance to fill out the Sun, Blood Moon, or Stellar Nebula correction forms if you ordered one of those pins. If you have not filled out the form(s) by Monday, I will assume you’re ok with receiving your pins as-is and not wait for remakes. Your address will get locked along with the rest of the backers.

If you chose to opt for remakes, your address will not get locked down yet, so if you don’t receive this email, don’t worry, that’s intentional! Your address will get locked once I receive the remakes and can ship your order with the corrected pins.

Thanks so much for your patience, I cannot wait to finally start getting these pins out to you guys - they turned out SO good (other than the 3 with mistakes, but even those look great if you ignore the wrong colors! 😂)

Hey astronomers,

I've gone through the Stellar Nebula pins to take a look at the damage and accidentally found even more issues with it 😓

Not only do majority of them have minimal to no swirl between the red shades, but ALL of them have a small spot on the arm that was supposed to be filled in with black but was instead filled in with the blue swirl:

As it is, there are only 53 pins that passed the red-swirl test, but all of those still have the incorrect arm bit color. 😭 With the pin now having two wide-spread issues - the lack of swirling with the red and the incorrect arm bit - that warrants these being remade.

Like with the other problematic pins, I've sent a form out to everyone who ordered the Stellar Nebula pin, asking you how you'd like to proceed, though with this one you'll have 3 options:

If you select option #2, your order may be delayed, since I 53 pins in this category, so if more people than that opt for that option, I will have to order remakes to cover the number of orders.

I'm hoping I can talk to my manufacturer and have them redo these, but just in case they are unable to meet my quality standard, I've started sampling the pin with another manufacturer as a backup.

I am pretty bummed that there ended up being so many issues with the order. The funny part though - So many artists from Pintopia have been having so many problems with their pins that we started calling it "the Pintopoia curse" in our creator communities. I was hoping that the only part of the curse I would experience was how long it took for these to get done, but I guess that was too much to hope for! 🤣

Anyway, if you ordered this pin, please check your emails - you should have gotten an email from [email protected] with a link to a Google form where you can make your selection.
