Hey, it is May and I have dropped nary a word about River of Lies. What's up with that?

Fear not! I have been actively working on River of Lies between all the other plates I have spinning.

So things are going pretty well. I suspect the biggest rock is getting our fulfillment partner settled and see what the shipping/handling pricing is going to look like.

First things first. Thank you backers. I couldn't ask for a better group to have along with me for the journey. 
As we indicated at the beginning, all the Purple Planet Horde and Goodman Games will be fulfilling together with a third party packing and shipping boxes from the US, Canada, UK/Europe & Australia. The details are yet to be determined.
For now sit back and relax. You've earned it.

This is it. Only a day and a half to back the River of Lies and all the other Purple Planet goodness. Man is my wallet blown-out.

This weekend I had a blast at CincyCon playing River of Lies. The look on the faces of the players as they discovered the terrible, wrenching truth of House Thero'Agarst's plans to change the Purple Planet and its weirdling sun forever will be with me until my end of days. This is it, the final week. Most amazingly we've inched along to 1100% of the campaign's original goal! Absolutely incredible. Long ago we eclipsed the amount raised by The House of the Red Doors. Another milestone also fell today: the highest number of backers for a Horse Shark Games crowdfunding campaign. That's right we are over the number of backers for House of the Red Doors. Wow! Thanks everyone for helping get us here.

Backerkit some some incredible functionality behind the scenes. It can compare the current campaign against projects from the past. For instance 80% of the backers of River of Lies are new backers. Which is fantastic. That also means there's lots of old friends to potentially welcome to the project. So if you've been sitting on the sidelines, I'd love to keep your support and ship you a copy of this new adventure. AND returning backers will now receive a sticker with your Kith Warrior or higher pledge.

Speaking of the adventure, this week we have a new River of Lies Book Club Session to check out. This week will be more of an essay about the influences that went into the making of the adventure and you all can follow up with an AMA in the comments. 

Also new poll this week. I will now reveal that the Last Mushroom of Ishgar'Ols is a supercomputer. Now what does it do? Why was it created? See if you can guess the right answer.

We've funded on the first day. Then we marched with mighty purpose to the Achievement of adding Don Stroud to the Purple Planet Horde. Now we wait and wait for the end of times.

Hold up, we don't have to wait. We can spread the word of the Purple Planet horde and its 3rd Party hordlings. If you can continue to talk/post about the Purple Planet, you would continue to be the best supporters. Ever.

There are other things going on! I'm not waiting for the project to end, either. I'm getting some print quotes as I want to make sure my choice for printing is competitive. I have started working on layout; a WIP is underway for the Drop-In Encounter. Lastly, I am running a play test of the adventure at CincyCon Sunday morning March 3rd @ 9:00 AM. For you enjoyment in the meantime, I've added a new River of Lies Book Club session in the Discussions section. There is still a poll for what image is conjured by the title The Last Mushroom of Ishgar'Ols. So far the comments are heavily leaning towards a fungal warship with a mycelia supercomputer brain. Oh, dang that is good -- like some Fred Saberhagen Berserker series vibes. So go and vote and comment.

Today is an Update Patch for the Netcrawl RPG Patreon. Update patches contain news about the project. and this is the 24th month of Netcrawl on Patreon. In March, we celebrate its anniversary and embark on year 3. Well the thought of the Donn Stroud Drop-In Encounter stalled at 99% must have been killing Toby V.  Toby pledged during the 1st couple days. Logged in, added an adventure to his pledge (The House of the Red Doors is a great choice, Toby), and threw in an extra buck.

You know, I never like to call a stretch goal until we're a good 3-4 backers over the goal, but in this case I'm making an exception for an exceptional gesture.

It's been about a year since I've had a crowdfund campaign and am I thrilled we've created Horse Shark Games' best crowdfunding campaign, ever! I'm also relived, because print costs have more than doubled since I last ordered a print run. 

Anyway, high fives all around and rest easy. Donn Stroud is officially a member of the Purple Planet Horde! Bree Yark! Kith say, "Bree Yark", don't they?

Good morning Purple Planet Horde!

It's time for an update from the fountainhead of the River of Lies. Since funding within the first hour, we have continued to add backers (340 of you!). All the other Purple Planet Horde projects have funded which means the Runic Interpretations are also a go. As of this update's writing we are less than $200 from bringing in Donn Stroud to write an additional Drop-In Encounter!

When I was finalizing the Backerkit campaign, Donn mentioned that he had several conversations with Harley back in the days of the original boxset. Donn was so excited by the Purple Planet that he started writing. So it dawned on me I should ask him to go back to his notes and finish what he started nearly 10 years ago. What will he submit?  If you know Donn, he's has a biology background and loves reptiles and all sorts of aquatic animals and of course mushrooms. So I'm guessing you'll get something with at least one of those things.

We are SO close! Please spread the word about the project and let's get Donn on board today. If you have been sitting on the fence, I understand. There's so many DCC crowdfunding projects right now. Hopefully you'll find a few dollars to support my project. If you can't do that, use social media to post about project.

Since we funded this project will include a Drop-In Encounter. The Last Mushroom of Ishgar’Ols is mini-encounter that can be used while playing River of Lies or used in the mushroom jungles of the Purple Planet. The Drop-In Encounter will be printed up on a sheet of glossy sturdy card stock and will be packaged with the adventure. The Last Mushroom of Ishgar’Ols is a Backerkit campaign exclusive and will only be available to backers of the River of Lies project.

As of this update's writing 5/7 3PP Purple Planet Horde crowdfunding campaigns have funded. Of course the Purple Planet reprint funded, too. Looks like those runic interpretations are in the bag.
