Hello, it's Ian Daffern here from Railfan. An exciting update here for NYC subway fans: Charlie Pellett aka 'the Voice of the MTA' is joining us for an exclusive Railfan reward just for YOU! But first...  the news! 

CROSSING THE HALF-LINE... 
This week we hit the halfway mark on Backerkit! But there's still a long track ahead to get our film fully funded. We know how busy life is for  autism families, so taking minute to read this, is appreciated. If you DO have a moment to spare, why not grab your favourite reward. What more can we say? For transit fans this is as cool as it gets. Charles Pellett is a radio broadcaster, most famous for voicing the announcements on the New York Subway. And now he can spend some time with you!

Charlie loves connecting with his friends in the bus and subway community. He's also an early supporter of Railfan, who reached out to us to ask how he could help.

We thought it be nice if he could record some greetings for fans, but Charlie decided to take it to the limit by offering a personal museum tour of the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn. If you want to be that lucky family: Check out our new pledge reward that just opened up on Backerkit!

Anyone familiar with Charlie knows how much of a treat it would be to explore the exhibits and vintage trains with him. He's  someone who loves subways and buses just as much as you. But more than that, he knows the transit community and how meaningful a role transit can play in lives of families. This is a very unique opportunity for  families who want to have a great day out while helping our film get to the next level.

For those who haven't been, the NYTM is so wonderful. Situated in Brooklyn entirely underground, the museum has one floor which is for features and exhibits; the other which is a working subway platform filled with vintage trains. (You'll get to see a lot more of this once you watch our film!) The museum is also legendary for its contributions to the autism community through programs like Subway Sleuths, an after-school urban adventure for kids on the spectrum who share a love of transit. 

The New York Transit Museum is also a huge part of Railfan:  they shared their platform to film our finale.
