Digital Reward access was fixed yesterday evening! Anyone who was unable to see their digital rewards should now be able to see them! We made sure this was corrected after receiving a couple of comments this was not available. Sorry that that took a few days! 🙇‍♀️

While not the biggest update on rewards status, Failure to Launch posters have begun quote talks and we're waiting back on a producer reply on costs. (Posters will have a matte finish and be 11 x 17 as a reminder!)

To all of you: Hello! My name is Sylphy and I am a new face here at Iron Circus Comics, taking over handling of posts here and on social media accounts. We apologize for the lack of communication from the year 2023 due to a couple unforeseen situations with a few from our team outside of their control, but we are all recovering and this was part of the reason I was added. It's great to be here to help you all!

However, I do not control the [email protected] email - so if you have an issue that needs assistance or are looking for an update to a reply from this email, you'll likely get the clarification I can provide but then a request to reach out to this email with a ticket number if applicable. Now for the updates!

The Pins for Failure to launch are currently in house with White Squirrel (our distributor)!  We are also speaking with a printer about the posters and are on time for this, so the posters should be ready to ship out before books even arrive to our warehouse. This means once the books arrive to the warehouse, they will be paired up with their pins and posters and issued out. Everything requested will be issued in one shipping package for you.

At this time we are still currently waiting for the hardcover books to arrive, however. This is due to an error in production where some of the pages that were printed were too dark to read clearly and needed some corrections. 

The paperbacks are fully printed at this point and will be issued out to us once the full printing process has been completed. A second issue is that the printer is reporting that there are some shipping delays. 

What this means is that while we were planning to have books within stores by May 7th, this may need to be delayed until June or July. We will have a definitive answer for you as soon as possible in the next update that is provided.

For everything going on we have a survey response rate of 92% for the majority, which is great! Thank you, for your prompt responses, because it will help us get the rewards mailed out to you shortly. Hey, all! Popping in to this crowdfund to let you know, progress IS being made! Check it out!

Since we hit our 60k stretch goal, they'll be sent out to every backer who ordered a physical book.

Speaking of the physical book, it's still in prepress, but should be done soon. We're expecting to get proofs from the printer in early December! Ebooks will be coming extremely soon, too! This has taken way longer than expected, but it's on its way!

Hello! I’m Amanda L., an editor, social-media manager and jack-of-many-trades at Iron Circus Comics. I’ll be sharing updates to various ICC projects from here on out, aiming to give y’all at least one update per month – more if behind-the-scenes updates progress quickly enough to warrant them.

As for FAILURE TO LAUNCH, the book is in pre-production, specifically being color-corrected. Once that’s finished, the files will be sent to the printer, and a better ETA can be shared with everyone.

Also in pre-production are the enamel pins, for which we’re getting quotes and discussing materials with the manufacturer. The posters will be the last thing on our to-do list, as their production is far less complicated project and timing their fulfillment with the books and pins will be fairly straight forward.

Heya, folks. Spike here, getting everyone up to speed on Failure to Launch.

Due to an unanticipated personnel turnover at Iron Circus, a lot of things got derailed. a LOT. For months, multiple. And as a result, a lot of the titles we had in production got put on hold. 

But I'm pleased to report things are back on track, and the book is due in warehouse in 8-to-10 weeks. From there, we can send it to our fulfillment partners at White Squirrel, and finally, FINALLY get them out to you.

I definitely should have done a better job keeping you folks in the loop, and I apologize for that. For a lot of the last couple of months, we've been arranging things so that a gap like this won't happen again. All I can do is apologize, and hope I haven't burned too many bridges with my radio silence.

I'll be in touch again in a month or so, to confirm what I've typed here.

Spike here, and apologies for the long silence; it appears our original "We Funded" post never managed to make it to live status. Sorry about that! We usually like to post a nice WE DID IT message upon the project's completion, along with a general statement on what to expect going ahead. So, I suppose we'll do that now!

Right now, the book is at pre-press! It's being proofread and color-corrected, and will soon be sent off to the printer. But before you get your hard copies, we expect to get you your ebooks! We'll let you know when its ready to compile; it'll land in your BackerKit account, ready for download!
