Project Update: Post Campaign Update 8: Audiobook, Bad News, Good News, and New/Upcoming Campaigns
Hey, hey Bloodlings!
Just checking in with you!
I’m almost finish reviewing the Blood Ties Audiobook. I enlisted the help of a few other individuals to assist with quality control because, honestly, I’ve listened to it so much I want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
In addition, I was actually able to make a few cool updates to the ebook and physical book, so if you ordered those, you’re in for a real surprise (HINT: It's a refreshed second edition)!
Some bad news:
As for the mini-cookbook, it’s almost complete, but I did run into a legal issue regarding reprints/reproduction that I’m hoping will be resolved soon. If it’s not, it may be five months before I’m able to release the cookbook to you. Hopefully, it won’t take that long to hear back, but you never know with these things.
I also ran into one issue with the Bundle of Unedited Short Stories, but I’m hoping to solve it soon.
Some good news:
If you ordered a copy of Blood Lies, you’ll be happy to know I’ve sent Rimi’s story to the editor for line edits. After that, it’s one more general overview of the book, and then it will be ready to be sent for publishing!
I’ve already obtained the LCCN, applied for the copyright, and assigned an ISBN. After edits, the only thing left to do is to receive a proof copy and review it. So, we’re getting to the finish line.
The Unedited Brotherhood of Blood Short Chapters 1–5 are available too, along with all the other rewards for this campaign not listed under bad news.
As I’ve mentioned before (or, at least I think I’ve mentioned), I’ll be sending digital rewards out first when the time comes, and physical rewards at a later date.
New and Upcoming Campaigns:
I hope you’ll stick with me and support my Printopia campaign for the Covenant of Blood audiobook, which will be voiced by Jynelle Brown. Reformatting efforts are going well and I can’t wait to provide you with the new edition of this book as well (she's going to look so pretty)! Campaign just started yesterday, but I hope you'll choose to pledge today.
I also ask that you support my fall Book Bazaar campaign for The Brotherhood of Blood. The book will be set for public release in November 2028, but those who back will receive the ebook earlier. If you follow the project today, you'll receive a copy of the flash fiction story, "Snapshots of Dracula: Prologue," which is currently only available on Backerkit.
