I'm locking orders for the pre-order store / pledge manager in 48 hours. If you need to update your address, or make any changes, now's the time! There are still 3% of you with outstanding surveys too. Be sure to complete that to ensure there aren't any delays in receiving your items.
What's next? Well, I'll be charging cards in 1 week on Monday, June 22nd! Then, we're sending things off to the printer. I'll have the final laid out PDF version of Last Light Station for y'all by the end of the week. We're pretty much there, but I want to ensure there aren't any small issues to correct (like punctuation or prices). There will be a new update sent with that link by Saturday.
I hope y'all are as excited as I am! I'm really proud of how this project turned out, and feel comfortable saying it's my densest zine to date. There is SO much packed into this thing! Alright, catch ya later this week!
Things are humming right along here at Last Light Station. T.Z. Wolfson has layout is in the final stages before being sent back to our editor Christian Sorrell for proofreading. From there, we should be moving to print sometime in early July by my current estimate. If you missed the last update, we're bumping the zine up to 12 pages at no cost to you. There's just too much content for an 8 page zine!

96% of surveys have been completed so far. That means there are 4% of you who have yet to confirm your addresses. I'll be closing the pledge manager in the next week or two as we finalize production counts, so be sure to double check your shipping info. Cards will be charged for shipping (and any additional items added) right around the end of the month, but you'll get a warning before that happens. If you can't find your survey or need to access it again, you should be able to have it resent through this link: https://last-light-station.backerkit.com. If not, reach out to [email protected].
Annnnd, if you're a follower, but haven't backed yet. You can do so through that same link. This is your final opportunity to snag Last Light Station at the campaign price before it increases during retail (due to the additional page count and rising printing costs). It's also the only time the riso version will be available online. Don't miss out!
Before I go, I wanted to share a layout preview! I'm blown away by the work T.Z. Wolfson has done on the project, and think y'all are going to really love how usable AND beautiful this zine has turned out. It's very dense, but readable. Like all of my projects, you'll also get a plain text version. Keep in mind, all of these previews should be considered WIP as we work to finalize layout.
WIP layout for Last Light Station!
Alright, that's all for this update. We're on track to fulfil early, so I expect the next one will be sharing the pre-print PDF and some solid fulfillment information. As always, thanks for your support. I can't wait to get this book into your hands!
Hope everyone is enjoying their spring! I've got some great news for backers, thanks to a bit of poor planning on my part. T.Z. Wolfson has started layout, and it quickly became clear I'd need to make significant cuts to keep the zine to 8 pages. After sitting down and parsing through the manuscript, I realized I needed more pages to really let this thing shine.
So, I'm eating the printing cost to bump the zine to a 12 pager. Shipping will stay the same, don't worry there! Of course, I'll be bumping up the retail price post campaign, but nothing will change on the backer end aside from getting a bigger zine! I'll be back with a regular update near the end of May or beginning of June. We should be very close to a pre-print PDF for y'all by that point (if it's not already done!). Until next time...
Pledge manager surveys are going out today. If you missed Last Light Station the first time around, now's your chance. The riso print edition will not be available online after the campaign.
You'll also have a chance to add on stuff like Hecate Cassette Archive -- there's a hook for it in Last Light Station! If you run into any issues, or have questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Otherwise, I'll be touching base next month with progress updates.
Happy May Day! April was a whirlwind with editing wrapping on Sunlit Path, and Last Light Station heading off to editing with Christian Sorrell (Meatcastle Gameware). The first pass of LLS is done, and I'm working through those edits now. We're way ahead of schedule, and with T.Z. Wolfson already digging into layout, I anticipate things will stay that way. I'll keep checking in with any news, especially if delays arise.
That said, I've sent out the smoke test for the pledge manager. For those of you not deeply ingrained in all of this crowdfund nonsense, that basically means I've sent a limited number of post-campaign surveys out. These surveys let you add on new items, and confirm your shipping information. The rest of you should have your survey next week. In addition to the items offered during the original campaign, I ALSO have copies of Hecate Cassette Archive that are on special discount through the pledge manager. If you run into any issues with your survey, don't hesitate to reach out.
Lastly, I wanted to share a playlist of songs that inspired me, or that I've been listening to while working on the project. It's all over the place, but I tried to sequence it in a way that wouldn't be TOO jarring. Check it out below.
I'll check in again in early June unless I've got any other big news for you. You can follow along with my other projects by following my newsletter or going to ghosttropic.org.
