Hello hello ~

Just a quick update. There's a lot going on behind the scenes but not a lot is finished yet! We just had a massive storm over the weekend and power/internet has been patchy.

We have unlocked the Shade tier! I have updated the front page with all our currently unlocked designs. This tier is cat themed, all the previous cat designs are going into the pool and there will be more new ones coming for this tier :3. Next one should be a large design, its sketched out but these big ones take a bit of time to finish. I also added last year's Shopkeeper pin - that one is 3" in size because of all the details.

Our new pick n mix is the gummy shark;

Same as the others, 1" with screen printed details :).

Thank you everyone for a fabulous start. We've funded all the way to the Mir tier!

The front page is updated with everything that's been unlocked so far. I'll put together some more mystery bag options in a little bit. I do intend to add some new print designs options but I haven't had time to make the patterns yet. I'm thinking bugs and maybe potion shelves.

I'm working on the Shade tier designs as we speak. I think I'm going to do another large design in place of two standard ones - since Mir's tier doesn't have a large one in it at all, and we'll be unlocking ALL the previous Halloween cat designs on Shade's tier, which is a lot of standard size options :3. 

Also its time for another Pick n Mix design. I realised I forgot to go back and do some spares. So! Let me know which is your favourite pick n mix sweet, and if I choose that one you'll get a crow prize feather. You can see all the currently available ones on the front page. If more than one person chooses the one I use then you both get the feather.

Alright, one more sneak peak before tomorrow's launch. Scroll down for important EU backer news.

Shade! This one will be 2.5" large size, hard enamel plated with black nickel and with a UV printed design. As always there's a bit of lore all the way at the bottom if you're interested!

Unfortunately, the rest of this tier isn't finished yet. Its been an... Eventful few weeks, sadly. But! Like last year I'll be making designs as the campaign goes on :). Pintober is my favourite campaign of the year, and we'll continue to match our funding with stretch goals all the way until the end.

Unfortunately... Shipping regulations are changing again. We're proud to ship worldwide, but its becoming a challenge. We are leaving the option to back from the EU open at this time, but if we can't navigate these changes when the time comes for fulfilment your pledge will be automatically cancelled and refunded; you won't lose money for products you don't receive. This time, there will be a charge for each type of different item in your cart; so one for pins, one for stickers, one for notebooks etc. This is £5 per item type, and its added on top of your usual shipping fees. We'll make sure that freebies don't add to your costs, but we highly recommend sticking with one type of product. I'll add some pin only bundles to make it easier. 

We are grateful for all of our backers, and we're very sorry its come to this. There's just nothing we can do. 


And that's it for now! We have some more surprises on the way. The pumpkin poll has concluded, the results were definitely surprising! I was sure orange would be one of the top two (it'll be a post campaign stretch goal in the add-on store instead).

Shade is what happens when you shrink a displacer beast and allow it to have babies with a stray cat. Those were his grandparents; his mother is a heavy weight scrapper and a bit of a beast, and may be appearing later in the campaign if I have time to finalise the artwork. (That displacer beast is still around. His name is Colander, because as a kitten his idea of sneaking was to hold a metal colander/kitchen strainer over his head with his tentacles and then freeze in place if anyone walked by.)

Shade belongs to the god of loyalty in this setting, a relatively baby god who recently ascended into his position. On faced with his newfound immortality he immediately 'promoted' both his horse and his cat to be his celestial messengers, because the idea of outliving them so dramatically was unacceptable. And thus Shade became the herald of the Black Legion, a rag tag collection of lost soldiers and abandoned companies who'd clung to their steadfast loyalty in whatever command they used to serve. Now they mostly test military hardware for fun. The setting is cross dimensional, and building historical siege weapons to test in the woods is one of the perks of joining the legion.

Shade himself is a spoiled prince of a cat, who is terrible at being herald of anything and prefers to be carried around like a baby. His hobbies including watching his staff spend hours hand preparing his dinner only to eat a single bite and walk away to steal someone else's. He expects access on demand to every room in the castle, and although he is perfectly capable of opening doors he will yell until someone comes to do it for him, mostly his 'boss'. Everyone knows who's really in charge here. But, despite all that, he is sweet enough to behave when it matters, and there's good reason his boss loves him enough to make him his number one side kick. Along with the horse - who's tried to eat him several times - they make a disaster trio to be reckoned with ;). 

(His god was featured last year in our scavenger tier - Arkon, the stained glass wolf pin.)

Alright time for another pin preview.

Our character pin for the second unlock tier is Mir;

This pin is 2" standard size, we're going for black nickel plating and there's printed details. There's no large pin for this tier, I thought this didn't suit the big size. There's a little bit of lore at the bottom of the update if you're interested!
 
For the rest of the tier, we have a bug theme. Stop at the Glasswing if you don't do spiders!

First up our mini pin for this tier is the Ember Bee woodlouse. They really do look like this they're awesome. This will be 1.5" with gold plating and screen printed details. 

Next up is the Halloween Atlas Moth. This one will be 2", soft enamel with epoxy coating, purple dyed metal and glow in the dark on the eye spots. The markings and shape are based on the Atlas moth, but with a few creative liberties on the colouring. 

Second standard size is the Glasswing Butterfly. This one is going to be a stained glass pin, although the smaller lines will need to be printed on (second image is to show the glass effect area). It will be 2", hard enamel and black nickel plating, with some printed details. The thinner areas will taper into a slightly wider base to make sure its still strong. 

Third and final standard pin is The Brazilian Jewel Tarantula. 2" in size with soft enamel, epoxy coating, dyed metal and pearl effect. Listen I am deathly afraid of spiders but LOOK at this thing, they're so fuzzy and they really are all kinda colours. She looks like she's heading to a rave.

We'll also be unlocking all our previous moth designs with this tier, too. 

And that's tier two! Stay tuned for tier 3, although we're doing a totally unplanned redesign because my stress levels aren't high enough :).

Mir is a Kuri-Lan, a race similar to tabaxi from DnD. They shroud themselves in their attuned element to turn into cats. Mir's element is lightning, and she turns into a little (for the moment) Eurasian Lynx. Petting her will give you a static shock and make your hair stand on end. 

Mir is the Shopkeeper's adopted daughter. She likes to hunt bugs and the strange 'rat' things that hide around the store. She also likes to hide under stock shelves and pop out of nowhere to bite customer's ankles. She has great cat manners and terrible people manners, and she only speaks 'cat' and basic sign language... For the moment. Even her name is a cat name. She will continue to pretend not to understand long into adulthood, since its a great excuse not to have to talk to anyone she doesn't want to ~

Alright time for a pin preview.

Our character pin for the first unlock tier is the Shopkeeper pin;

This one will be the large (2.5") size, with black nickel plating and printed details.

Also in this tier will be the new potion bottles (1.75" standard size), the winner of the mini pumpkin poll (vote below!), and the previous potion designs (2024-25). The front page will have a running list of what's unlocked in each size category :). The potions are gonna be a surprise because the previews aren't ready, sorry T_T.

The Shopkeeper was raised by cats, its why there are so many. His mother died when he was born and his father became obsessed with trapping a wish deity to bring her back, so he left him in a fancy house in the woods with a nanny and barely saw his son. Baby Shopkeeper found a barn on the farmlands at the edge of the woods and got himself adopted by some no nonsense barn cats, and spent most of his childhood playing there and exploring the woods with a whole pack of cat friends. As an adult he'd go back and adopt the remaining colony, who now hunt all manner of small critters that come and go from the shop. 

One of these cats isn't quite like the others... That's Mir, and we'll be seeing more of her soon :3.
