Hi everyone,

I know I know, it’s been a while! First off, thank you for still being here. I know this campaign has been sitting for over a year now due to difficulties with printing and constantly changing shipping policies worldwide. Please don’t think this project has been forgotten. In fact, it’s been the biggest thing looming over me this past year, but I’m incredibly grateful for your patience.

After everything that’s happened with printing, manufacturers, tariffs, and shipping over the past year, I’ve come to the realization that the book simply isn’t where it needs to be yet. I really wish I had caught this sooner.

A big part of that is on me. Because this is my first book that I’m both writing and illustrating, I was too nervous to share the work with my colleagues before launching it. I was/am also hesitant to share too much of the book before publication because of concerns about my work being copied or scraped for AI.. but I normally rely on all that feedback. Especially for a big project like this. After finally showing a print to two of my trusted colleagues deep in kid lit publishing last month, I realized that the book needs more work.

I know this isn’t what you signed up for, and in hindsight, I shouldn’t have launched the campaign before I had a confirmed/completed book. I’m genuinely sorry for that + I know not to do this again in the future.

The remaining funds for my new manufacturers have already been committed, so unfortunately I’m not in a position to offer refunds. What I can promise is that I’m still fully committed to finishing this project and finishing it properly.

I’d like to rework and re-illustrate parts of the story so the book feels more complete and lives up to what I originally envisioned. I’m setting June 2027 as my target for completing these changes, and my printer’s hardcover and neon printing will be ready by then. I will be pushing for a faster turnaround, but I want to give you an idea of the latest you can expect fulfillment to occur.

I’m sorry it has taken this long, especially to realize this after all the obstacles we've been through for a new manu. I wish I didn’t have to ask for more time, but thank you for trusting me with it.

In the meantime, I’m looking for more ways to thank and reward you for sticking with me through this long process. If you have ideas, please let me know in the comments! Otherwise I think I have a few things in mind that I can give to all 106 of you!!
