I've been so consumed with packing and shipping that I forgot to let you know that the replacement Fluorescent Keychains arrived a few weeks ago! The manufacturer did a stellar job on getting these out to me within a week, and I'm so pleased with how this new batch have turned out. I took them to the climbing wall to get the obligatory UV photo (see below) - you can see that the pink Mauve Stinger keychain is indeed pink!!
I'm pleased to let you know 4/5ths of orders have now been shipped. I have 10 more orders to send out, most of which are for t-shirts for whom the backer opted for the glow-in-the-dark paint addition. I'm taking my time with these, and will allow the paint to dry for 72 hours before packaging them up. However, I'm confident that all items will be shipped by 31st August, after which time I will close the project. You should receive a notification from Backerkit when your package is on its way.

With all my disappointment yesterday with the Fluorescent Keychains, I forgot to show you how amazing the Jelly Picks turned out! I'll be sending these out with a specially printed card detailing the different thicknesses. Extras have been added to Making With Biology Summer CELL-out, my Ready-to-Ship Shop, in its final 24 hours, along with some of the stickers from this campaign.
And an update on the keychains: my amazing manufacturer has offered to replace all three colours of keychains, completely free - including the blue one which was completely my fault! They've even offered to fix the artwork for the blue one, which is a massive weight off my mind. Happy days :)
I've now received all of the Deadly Tangle items. However, disappointingly I've hit a few issues with the Fluorescent Keychains. I hope to rectify the problems with the manufacturer but sadly this means that I've had to shift the shipping date for this campaign back until the end of August. Your shipping addresses have been locked but please let me know if you need to edit yours and I will unlock it.
Everything looked good before the resin was applied, but when I received the keychains, I noticed a lot of wrinkling in the artwork layer. The green ones are all affected to a greater (left) or lesser extent (right).
The pink keychain is less affected. The one on the left is the worst - you can see lines radiating out from the centre. I've again questioned whether this is really pink acrylic or orange.
Lastly, there's a problem with the blue one, but this was my mistake unfortunately. I didn't extend the white layer far enough when I was settting up the artwork. You can see the new one on the left next to the earlier sample I shared on the right.
Apologies for this not-great news. There are three backers who didn't order keychains, who chose the £ 30 Tangled pledge level, and I will be shipping out these orders this week.
As a bonus though, if you've ordered from this campaign, I won't charge you any additional shipping fees for Making With Biology Summer CELL-out as both campaigns will now ship at the same time. We're into the last 3 days of this Ready-to-Ship campaign.
The manufacturer of the Fluorescent Keychains has shared pictures before they add the resin dome. It's always fantastic to see one's drawings come to life! I'm really happy with how they look, but have asked to clarify that the Mauve Stinger is really pink like the proof I shared with you last time. I'm hoping it's an artefact of the camera, but I do think they look great regardless :) EDIT: Yes, they are pink! The manufacturer confirmed they don't have any red acrylic!
Look how fantastic the t-shirts are! I'm so pleased with how they turned out!
I bought one for myself; I have washed it and worn it and the print is just as vibrant as it was when it arrived. The print isn't shiny at all and it's nice and flexible. I love how the background on the Mauve Stinger illustration dissolves into the grey of the t-shirt.
I'll be able to start shipping as soon as the Fluorescent Keychains and the rest of the stickers arrive next week. Not long now!!

Hi all, just a quick update to let you know that everything's progressing very well!
All of the keychains, stickers, and guitar picks have now been ordered, and I would expect items to be arriving with me by the middle of July at the latest.
If your card was successfully charged within 2 weeks of the end of the campaign AND you completed your survey by 17th June, then your Tangle Tee t-shirt (if you wanted one) has been ordered. One survey came in late this week - I need to place a separate order for this t-shirt. And there are still two backers whose cards failed (and weren't fixed) within 2 weeks of the end of the campaign but they completed their surveys - your t-shirts won't be ordered until you fix your payments! If you did pay following the campaign, did complete your survey, but then your card failed for the shipping fees, then I have ordered your t-shirt(s), but please do fix those payments for shipping fees!! :)
I've signed off the proofs for the Fluorescent Keychains. Here's the mock-up of the Mauve Stinger Fluorescent Keychain from the manufacturer - as a reminder, this is the one made with pink fluorescent acrylic:
