This book is incredibly important to me, I've wanted to write it for so long and was finally able to make it a priority. However, traditional publishing routes often include handing over control of the story, the characters and the illustrations. Choosing to self-publish has been a huge undertaking but this story deserves to have every single detail protected, for myself and Eliana and everyone who fell in love with our story. Additionally, you typically hand over creative freedom and rights to your book and handed very little profit while the publisher continues to make money. I am hoping to give Eliana some of the money I make from the stretch goals and if we go further than that, my goal is to be able to make enough books to donate to communities where children may need it most. It was also incredibly important to me to make sure everything we are creating is good for the environment - which continues the overall theme of our entire story of creating good things to put out into the world - however, it's not cheap to manufacture things this way. So, I did not and do not have the funds to do any of this myself but it's incredibly important to me to do it correctly and I hope people can see that and choose to help me make this dream come true and bring so much joy, comfort and wonder to so many people. Imagining all the families who will build fairy gardens, connect with their communities and bring joy to others after reading this book makes it worth all of the effort. Some friends have asked if they can just send me money directly. While I appreciate the thought, using the BackerKit platform protects you. If you personally send me $60 and the project misses the mark by $60 on the last day, everyone gets their money back and the book isn’t made. You can change or adjust your pledge level and add-ons before the campaign ends. After the project concludes, cancellations or changes are at the creator's discretion and may depend on what stage the project is in.

Overtime Mode extends your campaign past its original end time to give backers a final chance to make their pledge. It will add an additional 10 minutes past the end time as long as pledges keep coming in. The campaign will end when there is a 10-minute period without any new pledges.
